My new favorite!

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 1"
Weight: 152 lbs
Size Purchased: L

I was skeptical. I really didn't want to spend this much. Some of the reviewers gave me more reason to be hesitant.
I needed a warm but lightweight jacket for backpacking, and with Backcoutry's excellent customer service, it was time to take a chance.
I took it to California for our backpacking vacation. I didn't have to carefully consider if I might need it for the chilly nights, I just took it, it adds no bulk and is super light.
I bought it for layering, and it worked well. A light fleece underneath for hiking in really cool weather (35 degrees) and I could vent by unzipping as I warmed. I also used it alone with only a light short sleeved layer beneath for warmer weather hikes. Perhaps my biggest surprise was the wind resistance. Hiking in Lassen to those peaks (Lassen, Broke Off) is WINDY! I pulled the hood up, zipped and I was set! The hood stays up , in place, and it doesn't obscure your view when you move your head around.
I am a size 10, and busty, the large gives me plenty of room. I usually get a M in jacket, but wanted room for layers. This was perfect. I only noticed the arm pits were a bit snug because others mentioned it in reviews. I think going to the large was a good choice for me.
The jacket feels good with a pack. Not restrictive at all. It is long enough that it doesn't ride up on my waist.
I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought myself and my husband An Apex Bionic jacket for our backpacking trip to Isle Royale in September. This jacket won us both over. It looks sharp, it is wind and rain resistant, and warm.
Since that time, it has become my primary running jacket. I use a thin base layer, and I am good to go in 25 to 30 degree weather.
I want to purchase them for family for Christmas gifts.
The jacket has a flattering fit.
It washes well. I was worried that after many days of wear the cuffs of my white jacket would not come clean. I was pleasantly surprised.
Get one!

I absolutely LOVE this pack. I just got home from a 3 day backpacking trip with no sore spots. This is a very comfortable pack. This was my husband's first trip with his new osprey pack too, and he concurs. I am still getting used to the straps and buckles, pockets, etc, but overall I am happy with the purchase. It is definitely several steps up from my old Kelty.

I love my thermarest! I had the short one, and was happy with it for years, until my legs froze in Danali (legs hanging off the end of the short pad). My man bought me the large womens for Christmas, and Ive used it twice and am oh-so-greateful! Yes, It is a bit more weight than the shortie, but worth it. Thanks Thermarest, and Joseph!
