Grew up on the East Coast (NH). Hiking in the Whites and Skiing in Southern Vermont. Went to school in Maine where I got in plenty of days at Sugarloaf and Sunday River. Ran XC and Track in college, and I'm looking to transfer to the myriad trails out here in Park City. Additionally, I am excited for the deep powder and legendary backcountry available from my doorstep!
These are my first pair of trail running shoes. Before I have always trained in some sort of road trainer like Asics. These la sportivas have made the transition very easy on me and my legs. Great support and I feel fast on the trails.
Took these out at Snowbird on April 30th on a great late season powder day. I rode the 179s, but due to the rockered tips and tails the ski seems much shorter. I'm 5'9" 155 and this size was ideal. The ski floats well and is fun and fairly nimble.
All time favorite jacket. I have had this jacket since 2003 and it's still going strong! Usually stands up to the cold, but under 20 degrees you probably want something more than a t-shirt underneath. The PrimaLoft is great insulation as it stays warm even when it gets wet. I got got in some cold rain storms in New Zealand and managed to stay warm.
