How long do these hold a charge?
Stick me in the mountains or out in nature, and all is well. Love to explore and enjoy this big beautiful world.
How long do these hold a charge?
Mavic sizing is a bit strange. Mediums are just a smidge too big, but small, is skin tight. I am 5'8", 150 athletic build, and bought this shirt in a medium, the best fitting size. I have ridden in 90+ degree weather with this jersey and find the mesh sides allow for wonderful release of heat and air flow. The sleeves will come in handy with cooler weather, but I would most likely wear a jacket anyhow since the mesh sides may be too cool? The one complaint I have about this jersey, besides the weird Mavic sizing, is the inside of the collar has white trim with Ms all around, so it is not really a great look contrasting with the black jersey. I would prefer if the inside of the collar were black vs the white.
These shorts are fantastic for several reasons:
1-The silicone grippers on the legs are comfy and keep the shorts in place.
2-The leg bands on are not too tight for those with more bulky muscles.
3-The chamois is not too thick and not too thin. Just right and great for long rides.
4-The length is great, not too short, not too long.
5-The waistband compression is comfortable.
6-They are super-cute on!
I bought a pair of these from somewhere other than Backcountry, and loved them so much I bought another pair. Although I wish I would have bought both from BC.Com as the pricing can't be beat.
I am 5'8" with an athletic build and the medium fit perfectly.
I was looking for the occasional tank to wear when riding to get a little sun on my shoulders and staving off the jersey tan. This Moxie tank is comfy, with a couple minor complaints.
1-I wish the neckline was just a smidge higher, when riding, it shows a bit more than I would like, and I find myself occasionally pulling up the front. That being said, it is definitely tight enough up top for amply endowed, keeping the girls somewhat in check.
2-I typically wear a small or medium, however, the medium was brutally tight up top, but fit perfectly everywhere else. I had to go with a large so I could breathe and not have a uni-boob, although the medium fit my body much better.
The 3 back pockets are nice and include zippers to keep your goods safe and secure. The length is also long enough to prevent riding up in back.
The material in these was way too thin. Additionally, I don't know why it is such a hard concept for bicycle clothes manufacturers to make the leg elastics large enough that they don't squeeze excessively causing the dreaded sausage thigh appearance. I have muscular skiing/bicycling thighs and this is a regular issue. If I size up, then the rest of the shorts, abdominal waist band, etc. is poor fitting because they are too large. Back these go.
These are great socks. They are comfy and stay put, no slouching or bunching up in your shoes, even after long rides. I wear a size 10 1/2 in womens shoes and the large are perfect.
If you are looking for a jacket with minimal/pizzaz/quality, and no flair, this may be the jacket for you. (I despise feathers falling out of my jacket).
Julian Carr, (owner of Discrete), is great. He supports local causes and is just a genuinely nice guy, HOWEVER, his clothing line quality needs some work.
Aside from having to extensively tailor his shirts, (female flannels/etc.,), I am bummed at the quality. I don't like to pick feathers out of seams, etc., (they are supposed to stay inside your jacket to help you stay warm)
Julian Carr is great. This jacket is not. Discrete can and should do better. Please listen to your customers Julian!
I love these undies! I bought 2 pair a year ago, and I found myself digging through my panty drawer far too frequently searching them out. So, I bought 3 more pair. The reason I am giving 4 vs 5 stars is that there is a distinct difference in the fabric weight of the 2013 vs 2014 version. The 2014, (these), is a much lighter weave than the 2013 version I purchased. I am not sure yet if this will translate into product performance, but it is noticeable.
With that being said, if the 2014 version performs as the 2013 version, they will be well worth the investment, if you want to be comfortable and dry.
I am 5'8", 150 pounds with an athletic build, (skier booty), and the medium fit perfectly. I don't have any issues with riding up or getting holes in them, as described in other reviews. Make sure to wash these and hang dry, don't put them in the dryer. These are so comfy, breathable/stay dry, and stay fresh. Enough said.
I am 5'8" athletic build and bought these in a large. They fit well and are comfy. The only complaint I have is the length of the legs. They are so long that I have to fold over the bottom otherwise they bunch up at the bottom. Perhaps I could have went with a medium if the inseam were shorter? Not sure. I bought the Pearl Izumi Symphony knickers in mediums and they are dreadfully tight, which is why I went with the large on these.
These were super comfy right out of the box. I love they are vegan, sturdy, and lightweight. They do run small, so make sure you size up. I went up a whole size to allow for enough room in the toe box so my big toe wouldn't jam into the end of the shoe on descends. Really happy with these so far.
I bought this saddle for my MTB. Unfortunately, the slits in the sides have pinched me on several occasions, ouch, this doesn't help for comfort on long rides. The saddle is too firm to offer a comfortable MTB ride. I have had a professional bike fit, all to no avail. It is painful on the soft lady parts, after only 12 miles. Between this and the pinching that has occurred with the side slits that are made to "flex", (something I have never noticed), this is going back. Maybe good for a road bike? Not sure. I love my Specialized road bike saddle and will most likely look at their line as an option for my MTB.
I am 5'8" 150 pounds with an athletic build. These fit true to size. The medium fits just right. Not too baggy nor too tight. I love the high waist so you don't have to worry about being "cheeky". You also stay dry. The thigh zips will be nice to dump heat come Spring.
The cut runs a bit small, body fitting for sure. I am 5'8"/athletic build and typically wear medium shirts, this however was too tight for my liking. I would order a large, however, the fabric is REALLY thin and REALLY sheer, I mean really sheer. Maybe for summer, if you like sheer tops? I ordered 2, one in black and one in white. Back they went.
I actually bought this backpack as a replacement for my OGIO backpack that I use for work/travel to carry my product samples, literature, and laptop. The bags quality is of Osprey standards and very nice. However, I wish the black were a true black vs. the washed out greenish tint that occurs when you use a black item for ahwhile. The outside netting pockets to hold drinks are okay, but do not secure bottles as well as you would hope due to the side straps that lock across the pockets. Your water bottles can fall out and I can tell the netting is not a high tensile and will rip with further use. I was also disappointed that there were not more small pockets to secure random items such as my Osprey hydration pack that has pockets galore. The inside straps to secure clothing and essentials for a backpacking trip or overnight stay, are very nice and I like how the entire bag unzips to allow for total access. I wish there was a way to remove the waist straps when not using them. It is annoying to have to figure a way to strap them down so they don't flop around as you travel through the airport. I do like the removable shoulder strap that allows you to carry the backpack like a duffel bag vs a backpack.
This is seriously the best PFD I have ever owned. Fit is awesome and customizable with the shoulder and side adjustable straps. The double-layer front pockets allow for easy access to your storage items, i.e. phone/camera/sustainables. Very comfy and not constrictive to paddling movements. Love this PFD!
I bought these because I have the matching leg warmers. They are aesthetically pleasing and keep you warm, but I have a hard time keeping them up on my arms. They tend to slouch down and I have to push them up my upper arm.
I bought the raspberry and the flavor is tasty without being overwhelming or sugary. Electrolyte combo is great for hydration and keeping you tuned up and in the game. In my humble opinion, this is the best sports drink to date. I wish the quantity available for purchase was larger than 1 pound.
Works well for long-distance rides. I can definitely tell when I forget to take them as I can push harder and longer. Also helps with recovery and not aching after a day of crushing it.
Love these! So toasty warm and cool rides and the silicone/elastic band keeps these in place on your thigh. My only complaint, and the reason for the 4 stars vs 5, is after approximately 5 uses, there are small, white elastics that are protruding from various portions of the thigh band. I have washed these twice and air dry vs dryer which is disappointing to see the elastics poking through already. I am 5'8" 148 pounds and I bought the Large. I have athletic thigh muscles and wanted to avoid the sausage appearance of a medium squeezing to tightly.
