Information about me - I moved from New York to Utah. I moved out for the abundant snowfall. Ive been boarding since I was about 13. You can find me all over the mountain whether it be on the groomers, in the park or out in the backcountry.

When there's no snow to slash around in, I am either out climbing in BCC or LCC, hiking, skatinboarding or biking around with my Border Collie/Australian Shepard, Jaya.

Picked these up to make it easier for me to get flies out of the fishes jaws and it does just that! Sometimes it can be difficult to remove the flies with your fingers alone but these forceps make it a breeze! Highly recommend picking up some for yourself!

This is the first floatant I picked up and it works great. My flies stay on top of the water making it look more natural to the fish. I would recommend dropping the fly in the water before your first cast to remove the excess floatant. Overall, an awesome product. Highly recommended!

This hard case does exactly what it's intended for. It protects your rod from being damaged and scratched up. I enjoy that I do not have to detach the reel to store it. I got the 9ft -4 piece option which has 4 separate sleeves. Super reliable!

Awesome Rod and Reel!
5 5

When I first got into fly fishing, this was my first rod. It is a great entry level package! It has perfect weight ratio for a medium action rod. Ive put this thing through the wringer and caught some beastly fish with this guy. Assembly is a breeze with the designated alignment dots to properly line up the 4 rod pieces. If you're looking for a reliable fly rod package, look no further!

Need my coffee!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Everyone who knows me, understands I am not a huge morning person and I need my coffee in the morning. Picked up this peculator to help assist with my coffee addiction when out in the wilderness. The 6 cup option isn't super bulky and is a perfect size for some car camping. Love this thing and I wont go camping without it, coffee is a must!

Make anything you want!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was sick of constantly using tinfoil and other cheap materials to make my food when car camping so I picked up a fancy dutch oven. My favorite thing to make in this bad boy is an egg scramble but you can literally make anything you want if you know what you're doing. Dispersing coals properly is key to even heating. If properly cared for, these will last a lifetime! Highly recommended!

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

I have always heard great things about Simms and their products. I've been told to never stray away from Simms - their gear is on point! Decided to pick these up for myself and I have had no problems with them at all. Ive broken trail with these multiple times and still have no holes and no noticeable wear and tear. These waders are super durable and stylish as well. No complaints from me on these. Highly recommended!

I was lucky enough to get the last one that backcountry.com had in stock! This little gadget is genius. No more finger cuts! No longer need to use my fingers to straighten out my leader. Just grab this little guy to straighten on my leader and within 5 seconds, I am ready to go!

Just like the title says, these are some big nippas! A little to large for me - I should have gone with the smaller version but they get the job done. Super sharp cutting blade making it easy to get off excess tippet.

I picked up fly fishing about 6 months ago and decided it was time to get my own net. I had been talking to a friend of mine about which brand I should go with and right away, he said Brodin so I decided on the Trout Phantom Series Net. This net is super durable and has a great finish to the wood. As laurel says below, anything about 16 inches, it gets a little tricky. It comes with a clip so you can attach it to you pack, vest or clothing. Awesome buy and highly recommend getting a Brodin net for youself!

I always stored my tipped in my Patagonia Atom Sling and it was cause more clutter in my pack which I didn't really enjoy. Decided to pick up this tippet leash to solve my organizing problems. It is super easy to access my tippet without having to go through my sling anymore. Definitely a must buy!

I always liked long sleeve button down shirts but I have never been a big fan of short sleeve button down shirts. I thought I'd check this out and see how it looks. I probably should have gone with a medium but decided with the large - I really like the fit on this shirt after one wash and dry cycle. It was a little large right out of the package for me but I liked the longer cut.

Bought this camping chair for car camping over the summer. Recently, I've been forgetting a chair to camp so I've been left with sitting on the picnic tables at campgrounds. Picked this up and now I can sit wherever I want! It is super sturdy, pretty light and easy to carry. Love the features as well - the feet have sticky rubber so it wont slide around, the arm rests are adjustable and the cup holder is perfect for da beers!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Recently, I've been heading up to the Uintas on the weekends to scape the heat and doing some car camping with friends. Of course, I have to bring my dutch oven and I always have these gloves in my dutch oven bag. These gloves are awesome - you don't even need to use the dutch oven lid life tool (CCF0034). These things are pretty indestructible and they make handling the dutch oven much easier. Highly recommended to purchase!
