I am 6'2" and own the Silo 18. I don't think that tall people were the basis for the pack's design but I can tell you that it fits me fine. I do have to adjust the straps a bit but it is simple. For me, it does sit a bit higher but that's fine. The pack is so small that you will not load it up too heavy anyhow.

The pack works great for me - it holds my camelbak 1 liter bladder just fine, ski goggles, food, extra layer and snowshoes. Its built well and takes a beating!

I got the SL pant with the SL jacket 4 months ago and I have had the opportunity to use it extensively out hiking in many conditions. The pants are great, light and pack away very well. Add on gaiters and it makes a great outer layer for snowshoeing. I am 6ft 2in and weigh 210 lbs - I got the XL and that allows me to add layers below and still be comfortable. For the jacket, I got the L and I am able to layer no problems and feel comfortable.

I have owned mine for 4 months now and I have taken it out into blizzards, rainstorms, and recently, freezing rain out backpacking. The jacket does what it is supposed to do and with proper layering below, is awesome. What I like the most is that it compacts down well and is very lightweight. Good reliable gear is always worth the money here.
