best bar on the market
great bar tons of calories, keeps ya runnin all day. Enough calories too to keep you fueled or help you recover. A lunch in and of itself!
Art's originals rock!
Bought these so I could have something to munch on while riding Porcupine Rim in Moab.Great buy. Leave the pb&j at home!
weird taste -- no more
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
got a bit thrown off by its taste at first. it gets better with the second one but not my favorite for sure.
EDIT: I actually love it now. It grew on me. So from 3 stars to 5.
Pro Bars, Bro-Brah,!
Wow, what a great trail treat! These things really taste great, and pack some long term energy in them. The fat and calorie content are not for the faint of heart, but thats because they are a meal replacement bar. When your on the go, and need to get some serious fuel into your body, and gels and shot blocks just are not going to cut it, throw one of these in the pack. Ive tried a variety of flavors, and haven't found a bad one in the bunch!
Ok, sure they are pricey, let's talk about that: did you look at the ingredients list? Where else can you get an OG, Vegan, Raw food mean for this price. Cheaper than a trip to the farmers market, and better tasting than your weird friend's "heady" recipes, brahhhhhh.
Sure you could get something not as good for you for cheaper, but you could also eat dog food like mad max, and I don't see you doing that yet either....
Bottom Line: YUM!
Hearty and delicious
These are surprisingly filling for their size. The taste is great and so are the ingredients. The bar is moist and fresh, which is hard to imagine for prepackaged food.
My new favorite backpacking bars!
I absolutely love these bars. If you are like me, you just can't have all of the same bars on a backpacking trip. No matter how much you like Clif bars (or whatever), you will be sick of them soon if that's all you brought. I love having these ProBars for my rotation.
They are moist, dense, nutty, fruity, tasty, filling, and 100% vegan. Around 400 calories, they make a nice meal replacement (or supplement). I have enjoyed all the flavors I've had so far, with the "Old School PB&J" being my favorite, but this one is good, definitely in my Top 3 along with the Nutty Banana Boom and well, the Cocoa Pistachio, too (Top 4, I guess?)
They also work well to throw in your desk drawer at work for those busy days when you can't get away for lunch. I prefer to buy them as singles to make sure I like the flavor, but once you know, the box purchase is a good value. Do it. Get the Probar. Do it. :-)
Best bar on the block
ProBars are great and Art's Orignial is the best of the best. Packed with lots of good organic ingredients and tons of calories to get you through a long hike or run. On top of that, it tastes great too!
Art's got it goin on
ProBars are the best ones out to begin with, being all vegan, whole food and a bunch of organic and raw stuff in there too. On top of that though they *get this* taste good too! I know I know, it's a food bar, it kind of comes with the territory that if you want a healthy bite of energy on the trail, climb, etc, you have to just accept that you're going to be chomping on a nice thick boot sole for the next few minutes, but somehow Art figured out how to put in all of the good stuff and even make it taste good to boot! (sorry, i love puns..)
Original doesn't mean it tastes like cardboard
I overheard a co-worker lament in fear that original flavor items all taste bland. I had to speak up and tell her that is not the case with Art's Original Blend. I ate half of one while road biking the other day and after a few moments it tasted so good that I pulled out the other half and ate the rest of it. They are that good. When was the last time you couldn't wait to pound another energy bar? Art knows his stuff!
