Bright and burly.

Climbers, skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts of every stripe require a powerful light source that can take a beating, which is exactly why Princeton Tec designed the EOS Headlamp. A single 80 lumen Maxbright LED throws a beam 60 meters into the darkness on the high setting and can burn for up to 121 hours on the lowest setting. The tough casing is designed to survive a 30-foot drop onto concrete and is fully sealed for total waterproof protection.

  • One Maxbright LED bulb provides up to 80 lumens
  • High mode can cast a beam 60 meters into the darkness; medium and low modes provide 45 and 30 meter beams, respectively
  • Runs on 3 AAA batteries(included) compatible with lithium batteries
  • Four modes include High (113 hour burn time), Medium (115 hours), Low (121 hours), and Flash (116 hours)
  • Push button on housing allows you to select modes and turn the lamp on or off
  • Adjustable elastic headband provides a snug fit
  • Tough casing material allows the lamp survive a 30 foot fall onto concrete
  • Waterproof integrity down to 1 meter for 30 minutes

I got the EOS bike package (through princeton tec) it is 80 lumens and exactly the same as this one except it comes with the bike mount and head strap. It is very reliable and durable: I've used it down to 5 degrees F in snow rain and even kayaking at night. My only complaints are that it is a bit heavier than my BD cosmo and that when using it on a bike is that there is no light coming out the sides which decreases my visibility to cars from the side. I like the idea of switching from handlebars to my head and am planning on bring it on a bike touring trip in July- update to come.
