NO BATTERY GAUGE
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just recieved this headlamp but there is NO BATTERY GAUGE, you just have toleave it charging for 3-4 hours and "hope" its fully charged. This is a HUGE defect in my opinion. You have no way to verify how much battery life is in the battery pack???? how could such a minor detail be overlooked. Even the cheapest of lithium battery products have a gauge of some sort to measure battery life. This is very disappointing.
Perfect Light for night time adventures
Did anyone say turn on the car lights? you got it in a recargable version! I've skied, mountain biked, climbed and canyoneered in the night with this light. Lasts forever, never had it go dead on a trip yet! I went on a 10 day trip and used it conservatively at first but then wanted to test see how it would last. I used it on high single beam until it automatically dimmed to the next lower setting. Two days later it started to flash so i switched it to the next lower setting(bright 4 bulbs) and finished the trip on this setting and never had to switch to the lowest 4 bulb setting. Best head lamp I've ever had and Ive got 10 or more. I also have the apex non-rechargeable and this light is twice the light, lighter, brighter, and last lots longer.
