I've been using the mug for about 2 months now. No complaints. No leaks, no worries, solid feel in a convenient size. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS.

I'd like to be able to toss this mug in my bag with papers

I'd like to be able to toss this mug in my bag with papers and stuff that I would rather not end up soaking in coffee, but It sounds like the seal on it might not be too reliable. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

DO NOT BE FOOLED

I have 2 of these, that is correct I got Jacked for $50 bucks. At first I thought awesome, does not leak, keeps things hot or cold forever. Then after about 3 months of using them each day, it starts. Lid pops off on occasion, so don't trust it in the bag. Both of the seals leak whether your driving or trying to drink from it. I contacted the so called manufacturer (really made in China) and they basically said, oh sorry contact who you bought it from. Yea I am sure the local outdoor place will rush to take these back. AND I followed all of the care instructions, never been in a dish machine. Just don't waste your money on this. Might have been worth $22 before moving production to China.

Unfortunately I have to second Don's review of this mug. It keeps coffee hot FOREVER, but after just a few weeks of use my lid busted and is now untrustowrthy after being pieced back together.

Is this thing rated dishwasher safe?

The manufacturer does not list this product as dishwasher safe. Many vacuum insulated mugs/cups are not dishwasher safe due to the risk of breaking the seal and compromising the vacuum, especially with plastics. That being said, I've washed it in the dishwasher (top shelf only) dozens of times and it has survived my laziness perfectly.

No worry coffee mug!

Never worry about spilling again. I was tired of all those other mugs that have that hidden leak. You're drinking your coffee all innocently and all of a sudden you've got a coffee stain on your favorite shirt! I have no fear of stains with this mug. I LOVE it and so do my shirts!

Primus Commuter Mug- The Ferrari of Coffee Mugs

By: Backcountry.com Employee

I have a lot of coffee mugs laying around my house and didnt really need another one, especially at $21.95. But one of my coworkers had one of these and after hearing him rave about it I thought Id give it a try. It was a solid purchase, this thing is superb Swiss engineering (although made in China). It keeps coffee warm forever and opens/closes with a reassuring *click* *thud*. I can juggle it when its full without it leaking a drop and it looks cool.

It´s not Swiss engineering. It´s very much Swedish.

Note: Primus has changed these since I wrote my review last year. They used to be stainless steel inside and out and a vacuum screw top.

The new model is plastic inside and out and has a friction fit pop-on top.
