The Carbon X Helmet is Pret's fully-featured, top-of-the-line brain bucket for skiers. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is the latest innovation in safety. It uses a thin inner layer that rotates slightly in order to disperse impacts across the whole helmet, instead of the point of contact. This proven technology reduces the potential to damage your brain drastically.


MIPS isn't the only innovative technology that makes the Carbon X one of the best helmet available on the market. Carbon fiber makes this helmet superlight as well as super strong, and the X Static XT liner blends warm wool with odor-resistant fibers for comfort. Pret's VTT3 ventilation system lets you open or close the massive amounts of vents for customized airflow.

The RCS fit system uses a back dial to ensure a snug fit, and Fidlock's magnetic buckle adds glove-friendly convenience to the chin strap. The ear pads are removable for warmer weather, and there are slots for audio systems (Pret recommends Outdoor Tech Chips audio). A Recco avalanche rescue reflector may help Recco-equipped ski patrols find you in an emergency.
