After a busy day at the office, pull on the prAna Men's Sonora Pants and go straight to your favorite bouldering spot. With breathable stretch cotton canvas material, the bestselling Sonora Pants keep you comfortable whether you're headed out to dinner or attacking that V4 problem. prAna's diamond-shaped gusseted inseam give you room to move as you make that high step, and the Sonora Pant's built-in belt makes it easy to adjust on-the-go.
Bottom Line: prAna's Sonora Pants—ready for whatever you throw down during the day.
Nice pants. Too wide at the bottom, so i took the legs in and now theyre great. The bottoms were so big i was stepping on the heel. These are xl's though so maybe the smaller sizes don't have this problem. Good overall pants though. Have worn to work and then climbed in them after work.
This is my favorite pair of climbing pants...yes, even over the Stretch Zion pants. The cotton canvas material is breathable, slightly stretchy, and most importantly, theyre durable. The adjustable belt on these is much better than the Zion belt system, because its easier to adjust and seems much more durable. The cell-phone pocket is pretty much useless for a phone since its so narrow, but Ive found it handy when I need to climb up to brush a hold. The mesh pockets are a nice touch and keep things cooler in warmer temperatures. The only gripe I have is the velcro closure instead of a button, although they still have a zip fly.
The sizing is way off. Im 6 tall, 165lbs, and a 31-32 waist/32 inseam, and the mediums were huge! They would probably fit someone with a 34-35 waist and 34 inseam. I exchanged them for smalls, which fit properly. I would check prAnas website for the most accurate sizing chart, as they have changed some specs recently. Not much else to say, other than these pants perform up to expectations. Its also refreshing to wear something thats made in the United States.

Here are the Sonora's grinding up against some sharp rock on Hammerhead at HP40. Didn't ride up in the crotch with that high left foot either. I think I wore them on a date after this trip. I may not have even washed them for it...
The Sonora was my first pair of prAna pants and they sold me on the brand. I wear a 34" and the large is a perfect fit. I don't climb, but I've taken these on numerous hikes and backpacking trips and the sturdy, yet very soft, canvas has held up extremely well. They have actually gotten more comfortable over time as I've worn them in. I really like the velcro on the back pocket - perfect for securing your wallet while traveling. The gusset allows good flexibility while hiking and I've never felt restricted because of them. They look just as good for casual wear too. Throw on your favorite t-shirt or polo and you're set. I think I'll grab a pair of the prAna Zion pants next. I'm eager to see what else they have to offer!
Love these pants! Wear them out to dinner and other casual occasion then took them for some December bouldering at HP 40. Comfy and easy to move in. I am a 32 waist at 6'1" and 160 lbs and they mediums fit me pretty well.
I like these pants. They're not as thick as I thought, but very comfortable, and work great for cool weather hiking. The built in belt works great. I am a 36 waist 34 inseam pant, and the XL was just right.
I love these pants. More than one time I've worn these pants at the gym or out at the crag bouldering or sport climbing and out for dinner at an expensive restaurant right after. They're a tough fabric that will hold up to some pretty abrasive rock, even rough sandstone, but look great and don't wrinkle easily. They're not super breathable, and will get a little warm in late spring or super early fall. They also don't stink or smell stale after a few uses, so I'll be honest, I don't wash these nearly as much as I normally would. I have the "Earth" and they are classic and classy pants for a night out but great for the climb before.
You can't order them in specific inseam lengths. The XL is going to be quite a bit longer than that. Probably run a true 34" or around there really close.
I really like the pants for the comfort and style that can be both useful and look nice. Since I bought them, I've been practically living in them. I must say that they are sized VERY large. I first ordered the medium which was supposed to be for a 32-inch waist. They were so big that a person with a 35-inch waist would have been very comfortable with them. I exchanged them for the small, and they fit fine. I also would prefer a button from instead of the velcro above the zipper fly, but that is a minor issue. Overall, I really like the pants.
Nice and roomy with a straight cut that does not taper. The pant is not victim to the skinny jean fad----And, i thank Prana for that. The material feels good too.
I love these pants. They fit great, are extremely comfortable and soft, and are perfect for a day of climbing, hiking, or just being out on the town. The only thing that kind of annoys me about them is that the closure for the fly above the zipper is velcro instead of a button; however this is a very minor detail for such nice pants. I am 5'10" 170lbs and the medium fits perfect.
These pants are easily the most comfortable and versatile, and possibly the best looking, pants I have ever worn. I never would have thought of spending so much on a pair of pants, but after finding a pair of these on clearance, I became hooked. I wore the first pair I had for almost two years, almost every time I wore pants. They finally wore out to where I could no longer patch them, so I am going to give in and pay retail for a new pair.
I didn't mind these much. The canvas seemed a little thin. I suppose if you were looking for a canvas pant that you could Yoga in, these might be right down your alley.
Nice pants. Too wide at the bottom, so i took the legs in and now theyre great. The bottoms were so big i was stepping on the heel. These are xl's more...
