prAna Nikita Pant - Women's - 2005 BCS

extremely comfortable and durable. I've had 2 pairs since 2007 and they are just starting to wear out. The material is super soft and slightly shimmery. They don't absorb water quickly so their great for walking around on rainy days. They have a slim cut and straight leg that is very flattering. The waist sits low-ish on the hips, perfect if you have a short torso. I get tons of compliments on them and wish that prana would make them again. The picture here doesn't do them justice.

I ordered the Nikita Pant, having lived in a pair of Prana pants purchased last year. The Nikita pants are sharp, but not nearly as comfortable as the previous pair. The material is a little scratchy, the pants are cut rather short from low waist to crotch, and the waistband is rather stiff and ill-cut (at least for my body). Also, they require a light iron to finish them up.

These pants are very comfortable -- the waistband hits at just the right place, and they have a touch of stretch so they don't bind. Great colors, too!

I have another pair of prAna pants, in size medium, and they are huge. So I ordered these in a medium as well, knowing that they're supposed to be a closer fit than the others. They are much smaller than the other prAna M, and are also very low rise- fine- but the problem for me is that the waistband narrows in like it should if the pants fit higher- and my waist is not that low.
The other thing is that the fabric looks like it should be canvas, but is actually a lightweight fabric PRINTED with diagonal stripes to give it that effect, so the printed lines are scratchy and lok terrible up close. Surprisingly low-quality fabric, in my opinion.
