Most people recognize Prana's peaceful mission, but the Men's Nemesis Climbing Knicker has a touch of aggression built in. Underneath this strong, stretchy, quick drying, and wrinkle-resistant fabric exists the equipment to help you get your onsight. A full-length gusseted inseam allows you to throw heel hooks without the Nemesis holding you back, and the adjustable waistband keeps these knickers snug so they don't slide down mid-crux.

Prana even included a DWR coating in case it starts to rain over your projects and you're still hoping for another go. Just slip your brush out of the climbing brush holder and start scraping away, and these shorts should keep your lower half comfortably dry until the sun pokes out.

Great pants, but oddly polarizing

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I love climbing in these, not only are they stretchy but they are gusseted for great range of motion. They're also breathable and quick-drying. If you've tried the stretch zion shorts, these are pretty much a longer version of those.

People either love or hate these pants. I get a lot of compliments on them, especially from outdoorsy types, while others will look at me with sneering contempt like how dare you wear a pant length in-between shorts and regular pants? But whatever, these things rock for what I bought them for which is climbing.

sizing changed....

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs large
  • Size Bought: xl

First, these are my favorite shorts of all time. They are lightweight, super comfortable and slightly stretchy, making them perfect for any activity, especially yoga.

Why not 5 stars? The sizing changed. In the past they ran small. No problem, I sized up. At 6'2'' / 210 the extra large used to fit me perfectly. Now the extra large is huge. Side by side, my new pair is much wider and even about an inch longer.

So, I need to send them back and am reluctant to re-order. Which one would I get? The new sizing or the old?

Comfort rules

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

Ok, My wife, friends, and especially my brother poke fun at me for wearing what they call capris. Who cares, these are the most comfortable pants/ shorts/ knickers / capris I own. Other reviews are right, they are soft, stretchy and breathable. I rotate two pairs and wear them almost daily. I am 6'3, 205 and usually wear a large, but had to exchange for the xl, which fit great, so I think they run slightly small.

Bouldering pants

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

First off, I absolutely love these pants. They are light, stretchy, breathable, comfortable and soft. I have owned a pair of these, along with a pair of regular strech zion pants and I'd recommend these for bouldering and the regular pants for longer, multi pitch climbing. The reason I say this is because the regular pants has side access zippers for the thigh pockets, which is useful when you're harnessed up. These knickers do not have that side access zipper, which makes it a bit scarier to pull out my phone to quick check the weather. All in all, fantastic pants but for multi pitch or big wall climbing, I'd prefer the regular pants.

Great for bouldering

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I love these as 3/4 length pants for bouldering. The stretch zion material is light, breathable, and flexible. They are extremely durable. I've had one pair for over a year, mostly wearing while climbing, and recently got a second pair. The built-in belt is nice as it doesn't constrain your movement.

Great for bouldering

Favorite pants

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

These are my favorite pair of pants, ever. They are the perfect thing for what I love to do most, hiking/camping/climbing in the deserts of the southwest US. The length is just long enough to protect the knees well, but short enough to not trap heat like long pants would. I haven't worn a normal-length pair of shorts into the backcountry once since getting these. The fabric is great... its super durable, lightweight, quiet, slightly stretchy, and adequately water resistant.
