Comfy and versatile

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are great, i got a size 4 to go for a tighter look to wear to the office on casual Friday. My other pair of prana pants are a 6 so if i wanted a pair for other than city wear i'd go to a 6. i'm 5'6 and 68kg athletic build.
The fabric is great for repelling stains which is great since i dont wash my jeans often!

my favorite pants- 2 pairs!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these in denim (looks blue/gray) in a size 4 (I am 5'2.5 about 120-125 lbs) and am happy with both size and color. I really love that I don't feel restricted in these and the quality of the material as well. If I could afford it, I would order the lagoon color as well, looks awesome.

About the sizing... So I put true to size because I don't feel like these should be that tight of a pant. Some have said runs small, some have said runs a little large. I would say (from owning other prAna items) that the brand as a whole runs a little small. These items are not necessarily the best choice for someone who wants/needs a "curvy" fit. I would say that is true for someone looking to purchase this item as well. If you want a comfortable fit, order the size you get in most products. If you would like a skinnier fit, maybe go down a size.

update: I ordered the raisin as well in the same size because I love these pants so much. Awesome color. Awesome pants. love love love love love

So much movement!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

You know that feeling when you first put on a pair of pants and you're scared to take a big step up because they might rip? You will not get that feeling with these! They have so much movement to them and the fit is pretty stellar. I've also noticed I can wear them cuffed or not, and I have enough length. (I'm 5'7")

If you're in between sizes, size down. They run a little big..

Go to pants!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love these pants and have them in brown, black, and pink. I wear them to work, on weekends, and can easily get away with physical activity in them. I am 5'4, 120 lbs and have one pair in a size 2 and two pair in size 4. I would prefer to have all three in a size 2 or even go down to a 0. The 2 and 4 both get stretched out and bit baggy. I don't mind as I don't want skin tight pants, but the waist on the 4 for my size gets a little too big. I have an athletic build and bigger thighs (I'm a biker) and these pants work great for me. I highly recommend these pants!

Rad Pants from pRana!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: True to size

My girlfriend has several pairs of these jeans and enjoys many activities in them. Whether out on the town, at work, climbing, hiking, or enjoying any other vast amount of outdoor endeavors- these jeans do the trick!

I've been a fan of pRana for a long time and have now passed that love onto her. At first we agreed that the pants were geared towards rail thin women with tiny hips and long legs, but after searching around we found this jean was the most well rounded for women with curvy features.

They look great and are durable! Highly recommend.

One thing she mentioned specifically is that after wearing them for several days in a row and for differing activities, they don't loosen or become saggy,a quality she said women pay attention to.

=)

Also, she mentioned they are long but have great cuffs to roll up the bottoms or even hem.

Great if you're built like a stick

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

I don't know why, but I keep trying to buy Prana pants. And every time I end up frustrated. We are not all built like their models, and yet they continue to ignore this portion of the female population.

I have curves. Prana insists on making their pants so low-cut, there is no size that could ever fit right on my hips while looking ok anywhere else. I thought the micro crotch-hugging pant had finally gone out of style? And forget about bending over or actually moving in them. I went with my size despite everyone saying to size down because of how "loose" these were.

I'm going to continue trying to lose a few pounds and maybe they'll fit a little better. The length is supposed to be long so you roll them, so that didn't bother me, and they're definitely stretchy. But I'm just too frustrated with Prana to ever buy another pair of their pants.

I Fell for the Hype & Was Sad

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I splurged on these pants after reading so many awesome reviews, and was sad to learn that 1- they are unreasonably long (I'm 5'6" and a 10/12) and 2- they are a weird fit. The cut of the pants allows for no curves in the bum, thighs, or hips - so if you have those, the pants are either too tight somewhere, too loose somewhere, or sliding down. I tried two different sizes with no avail. They are definitely stretchy which helps, but the cut simply did not work for me. I was surprised since they have so much positive feedback! I had better luck with the Prana Trinity Cords and the North Face Valencia Pant (although that had inconsistent sizing). The length of these pants is absurd. When I crop them they come halfway back up my shins. I had to cut off the bottoms of the pair I kept and wear them with a belt to be semi-happy with them.

Go To Pants!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are my favorite pair of pants I own. They are seriously the most comfortable pair of pants! They have the perfect amount of stretch to them for climbing and hiking and other activities. The colors are great, I purchased the Raisin color, it does have a little more of an underlying shine to it in person, but I really liked that look.

My only complaint: These pants attract my dog's fur like no other! So keep a lint roller handy :)

Most comfortable jeans ever

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I own several pairs of these and am seriously in love. They fit snugly but are nice and stretchy so they are soooooo comfy. They also look super sharp and I get tons of compliments. Seriously can't go wrong here.

Comfort of leggings in a JEAN!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The Kara Jean, really the fit and fabric of this jean says it all. But if you have yet to try a pair on, do it now. I have gone hiking, climbed, and done the splitz in these jeans seamlessly. The fit is great on these jeans and you can dress them up or down, I wear them with everything!

The best skinny not-skinny jeans ever!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I don't know if I can say enough good things to say about these jeans to do them justice. Some may say they are a skinny jean, but really they are just darn good fitting jeans. They look great ( in all colors) and are incredibly comfortable. The fabric is on the thinner side and a bit stretchy. As noted in other reviews- size down a size, you won't regret it. What you will regret is missing out on your new favorite pair of jeans if you pass these up!

AMAZING!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

5'6" 135, size 6. These fit perfectly!! I LOVE the stone pattern, get a ton of compliments, I also have the denim ones. I wear these like 2-3 times a week if i can, then usually all weekend if it's cooler out. they look nice folded up a little, or all the way down. Great pants for a casual workplace, after work, Hiking, biking, walking the dog...all around awesome pant.

Gateway Skinny Pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Never thought I would be the skinny jean type. And okay, these aren't jeans... But they look like it! Super comfortable and from friends' comments, they're flattering. Can't wait to buy the new dark teal if they get them in my size!

Hey guys! Do you know when you'll be...

Hi Sheena,

We have an order from Prana on the way-- there should be new sizes and colors posted before the end of August, so keep an eye out!

Love them!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I purchased these pants in denim. They are more of a grey color. If they every make these in a true dark blue denim I would buy 10 pair! These pants are lightweight, but strong. They are are incredibly comfortable and really move well. I also like the long inseam that can be worn down or rolled up.

Magical

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

After several awkward drop ins local bars and weird looks from friends, I decided it was time to search for a pant that could go from climbing to city life, didn't take long until I can across these pants. They quickly became my ?send? pant, essentially my FAVORITE climbing pant, EVER.

The pants are super lightweight, dry really fast (seriously, I was caught in a summer rain storm and was dry in 15 minutes), and have an insane amount of stretch without looking like skintight jeggings. I promise there is no highstep or split-like stem move that you can't do in these pants.
The sizing is a little funny I'm 5"9 and 130 and went with the 2, they're a bit big in certain areas, but they still look awesome.

My only complaint with the pant would be is it's not the most durable fabric ever. Within 5 months I had started a hole on the butt of the pants that has continued to grow since (yes I still wear them pretty religiously). However, I do a lot of scrambling down rocks so I think the half-life of the pant would be a lot longer if you were using it for hiking, day use or bouldering.

Ultimately they are an all around stellar pant from fit and style to comfort!

Magical

Climbing versus Fashion

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

This is a durable, stretchy and good looking pant. I use them for climbing because they resist wear as they scrape against rock and also look good as a street pant. If you are looking for a skin tight, fashion pant, size at least a whole size down. So, if you are a size 5, get a size 2, not 4. If you need a climbing pant that will not pull against you or slide down as you go for a high foot, I would consider sizing as you normally do and roll the pant up, as it is intended. I love these pants and hope to have a pair in every color.

Not really jeans

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

The fabric is actually very lightweight, so good for warm temps, but pretty thin. As others have said, "denim" is really a grayish color, and yes, size down. I would never order a size 4 from Prana, but the waistband is soooo large on these (and tight through the hips - but stretchy enough to accommodate my butt). They're kinda like jeggings, lol! Stretchy enough fabric to pull them right off without un-buttoning/zipping. Gonna keep them only cause they were on sale.

Nice.

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I wasn't thrilled with these at first. I am usually between sizes and went for the smaller size after reading the reviews but they were still a little too big and sort of baggy in the legs. I also didn't care for the color of the denim?it was more grey than denim. I decided to keep them.
