    Most comfortable jeans I own.

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: 12

I hesitate to call these pants jeans, but they have replaced my classic jeans as my favorite pair of pants. I own them in black and pebble. These pants have a perfect amount of stretch, fit nicely (note: they are on the loose end, which I find great for mild physical activity), and are incredibly versatile. I feel comfortable wearing these pants for just about every occasion. Highly recommended.

    Just okay denim.

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

I wanted to love these jeans, but I didn't care for the color I got (I believe it was the denim, it was a bit shiny). The fit was a little off on me, they kind of bunched up around the thighs during wear, but my biggest issue was how the bottoms fit as they were an in-between skinny jean and straight leg and I just couldn't find shoes that would work with them.

    Prana Kara Jeans

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:Runs large
    • Size Bought: 2

I'm 5'7 and 120 lbs, and I have purchased 4+ pairs of Kara Jeans in size 2. I've usually purchased size 4 Prana pants in the past and have been happy with the fit, but these jeans have a LOT of stretch to them. Then again, I like my jeans to be pretty fitted so I can wear them with boots. If you like your jeans looser, consider sticking with your usual size rather than sizing down.

They are a good length for my leg, though it'd be helpful if they offered different inseam lengths. Sometimes I have to cuff them up a roll or two if I'm wearing without boots so they don't bunch up by my ankle. My good friend who is 5'1 wears these in a 0, they fit her perfectly around the leg but she has to cuff them like crazy.

I dress these up and down, and I've even worn them climbing. They have excellent stretch built in so it doesn't even feel like you're wearing jeans.

I only knocked 1 star off because Prana has been pretty inconsistent with their sizing. A few of my size 2 Karas fit very well while the other few always seem to be somewhat baggy by the end of the day. If they made the sizing more consistent, these would be the perfect pair of pants! That said, I still wear them almost every day and recommend them to every woman I know.

Is this what Denim has come to?

For any one looking for a pair of real jeans these are not them. I mean, I get it that most denim/jean pants come with some stretching capabilities and I appreciate that as I am a fairly active person that likes to be able to bend down in the garden or doing yard work with out the circulation getting cut off to my legs. I don't mind this at all. But these are paper thin, and I think that the leggings I bought were thicker. To me this makes them feel cheap or at least over priced even at the sale price. And not adequate for for cold weather regions. Okay... another complaint, the front pocket are very short, and for someone that has cold hands this is bother some as I cannot retreat to the warmth of my pockets. This is why I can only give up 3 stars as these are 2 important things when you buy pants in the winter time. On the plus side... they will be great in spring and even late summer evenings. The cut fits me nicely, a higher waist than most of my hand me down pants which is fine. I like the deep color of the indigo, and the fact that I can wear them riding my bike, doing yard work, or spending the day shopping with a friend. I feel like this review may be a little harsh but, since this was my first prAna purchase and having heard really good things (for the most part) I was a bit disappointed.

    The bomb.com jeans

Kara has it all, looks, feel and mobility. It is long, but you can fold it over, let it bunch up or wear boots over it. I can go out to dinner and drinks or hit the trails and these jeans keep me looking good and comfy. I just need the green ones to go on sale!

    My favorite jeans

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

    • Size Bought: 6

I love these jeans for everyday wear and mildly aerobic activities. The sizing is a bit hard to get right. I usually wear 8-10 in pants, 5'9" 155lbs, and I wear a 4 for around town and a 6 for climbing/hiking. The fit in the waist and hips is perfect once you get the right size but they are a bit looser through the calves than most "skinny" jeans. I have had 6 pairs of these over the years and they are my favorite pants.

    Favorite jeans ever!

These jeans are the best jeans! I always have a problem of the waist too big and the thigh too small, so I always have to wear a belt so the don't gap in the back. These pants fit perfectly, I don't need to wear a belt and they are soft and comfortable, and durable. I have the white diamond and green pairs, soon I'll be getting the pebble and the denim. They keep their color and shape. I highly recommend these jeans! For summer and winter. I took mine on a trip to Brazil and they were so comfy I wore them on the 9 hour flight. Love love love!

    Super Comfy, Look Great!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs small
    • Size Bought: 6

I'm 5'9" and usually a size 4 or 27, but the size 6 fits me great. They're stretchy, so still really comfortable for my bike to work. I love them so much I have them in two colors.

    Best. Jeans. Ever.

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love these jeans! My first pair was in the 'indigo' color and I loved them so much, I ordered a pair in 'cargo green'. They are stylish, comfortable, figure-flattering, and versatile. I usually wear a size 4, and the size 4 in these jeans fits true to size. I'm 5'4" tall and find them to be a tiny bit long, but they are still super cute with the cuff rolled up. My new favorite jeans.

    Amazing pants!

These pants are fantastic - I just bought my second pair. They are incredibly comfortable and stretchy. They do stretch out when you wear them, but they bounce back great so they never feel too loose at the end of the day. They are several inches too long on me, but they are designed to wear with and without a cuff at the bottom, so I just roll them and they still look great.

    Surprisingly comfy

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:True to size

I put these on for the day and I thought, well, I do have slightly better fitting jeans, but I'll try these anyways. They are thinner fabric than non-stretch denim, but usually the stretchy denim is this weight. I have narrow hips so they were a teensy bit wavy along the side seam at the hips.
at the end of the day, they started to get used to my muffin top shape and they were so comfortable I didn't want to take them off! The stretch in this pair of jeans has great recovery so they don't feel baggy at the end of the day. I need to shorten them, but only to the point that I can cuff them a little.

    Runs large compared to what???

    • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

I loved the cargo green color, but the size 8/29 I received certainly didn't run large as plenty of reviewers claimed. I would say it's probably similar to other 8s, which means the low rise and nipped in waist cut into my square-ish frame in a really unattractive way. I'm also 5'10", and the unrolled length was *maybe* going to be long enough to be not-cropped pants. I would have liked to try a size 10, but they're now sold out. Disappointing.

    BEST JEANS EVER!

    • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit:Runs large
    • Size Bought: 4

My girlfriend raves about these jeans. Its basically like wearing stylish leggings, who wouldn't love that? Runs long, super stretchy material.

    Casual and durable

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs large
    • Size Bought: 0

I like that these are durable and casual, good for road trips and climbing. But my problem with Prana over the last few years is their sizing. I am just under 5'7 and am 34/25/35.5 and the pair I received in Black size 0 are a tad bit big in the waist, so I have to constantly pull them up. The rest of the fit is great through the hips and leg length. But why would someone my size wear a 0, when I am hardly tiny or skinny, just slender and normal size?
Edit: I just bought the Kara Jean in Indigo, same size 0 and the waist fits perfectly. So, there are differences from pair to pair.

    Wardrobe Staple

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:Runs large
    • Size Bought: 2

I love these jeans because they are so comfy and flattering.

I really struggle with prAna's sizing and I find it to be all over the place. In some styles I'm popping out of a size 2 and in others the 2 is roomy as can be. I am 5'3" and 120 lbs with a fair bit of hip and a little bit of booty. I took a size 2 in the Kara and the waistline feels the tiniest bit too big.

The LENGTH is quite long. I'm probaly a 30-31" inseam and I have to roll these babies up quite a bit. It's ok, though because I love that look.

This denim does really well with a bunch of wears between washes. There was a warning that the indigo dye may bleed, so I've been washing them separately after wearing them 4-6 times.

Overall this is a wardrobe staple and if the length were right they would be 5 stars.

    Hands down fave!

You know how when you find jeans you really like and you wear them in all the colors? Well, this is that jean for me! I never thought I would see the day I'd wear colored jeans, but I've now purchased these in periwinkle, green, red, black and indigo. All of the colors are fantastic! The fit for the pants is great for someone like me who has muscular legs and a slimmer waist. I've got curves, so finding jeans that fit is key!!

The only thing I have found with prana is that they tend to run a little large (which is great for making me feel skinny!) I normally wear a size 8, but I find that size 6 fits me best in this brand.

    Love the prAna

Love these pants. Like other reviewers - they are stretchy but not too thin. I love that in pants. I am short, the pants go to my ankle when cuffed. I have taken these to be hemmed so that I can still cuff them but also wear them uncuffed. I got the Indigo and the Stone Diamond. I did have to 'play' around with sizes. Not all prAna pants (or for that matter any other brand) fit the same. It was worth it to buy and try sizes. I got a 2 in these pants, and in the prAna Brenna pant I wear a 6. So.....give these a go and you may just fall in love :)

Is the inseam graded as the sizes go up? What is the inseam in a size 12?
