From drizzly London to blustery Berlin.

Prepare your Euro-trip with the highly protective and fashionable Prana Women's Eliza Jacket. Its wrinkle-resistant shell utilizes fully taped seams, a DWR coating, and a waterproof center front zipper to keep you dry in rainy weather. A mesh trim brings the breathability to keep you comfy in warmer weather, and the hood stows away when the rain stops. Prana added a removable belt to give you a flattering figure, adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs to seal out the cold, and a zippered internal pocket with a media port so you can listen to music while you tour across Europe.

    Beautiful jacket but sized small

    • Fit: Runs small

This jacket is a gorgeous color and the style is much nicer than most for the price. The size is too small though. I bought the XL which the measurements said would fit plus my other rain jackets are XL and fit fine but this one is too small so I'd size up

    Great Around-Town Rain Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium

I got this for my wife for her business trips to Seattle. She loves that it is stylish, yet has the functional features she wanted out of a rain jacket: hood, repels rain (duh), good pockets, packs-down small, etc. The only reason she gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it isn't as waterproof as you'd expect for a jacket marketed as a "rain jacket." It works just fine for short stints in a downpour (e.g. running from the grocery store to the car) but it is NOT a technical jacket and is not meant to be worn for long outings in anything more than a misty drizzle.

    Stylish and functional

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small

I bought this for a trip to England and it was perfect for both London showers and hiking in the Lake District. It packed very light. I love the pockets (including an inner pocket) and how the belt always stays attached.

I'm considering this as an option for overseas trips where I do some hiking and climbing because it'll also look nice while I'm in the cities. How much does it weigh, and would I be able to pull all that off?

I'm also only 5'2 and 115 lbs, but my bust measurement is 36. The jacket looks a little roomy in the chest so I'm hoping I can still order my usual S or XS. (All my other measurements fall under XS.)

Regarding the weight, the only options that I could find, as far as a quantitative measurement is concerned, were answers of "1 pound," generally listed as the shipping weight, which leads me to believe it probably is anywhere from 13-16oz. However, all the reviews I could locate on other websites repeatedly extol the "lightweight" characteristic of this jacket so in that regard, I hope I was able to help.

As to whether or not it would fit your chest, I did find a picture of a model wearing the XS on Zappos.com, and it lists her bust as a 34C; I don't know what the sizing measurement between a 34C and a 36(*your cup size here*) is, but she seems to fit quite impeccably into an XS, so maybe that will work for you too! Check out the link, and if your bust measurements are close to a 34C's, then I think that an XS would work well for you. I'll provide the link, so you can check them out for yourself (http://www.zappos.com/prana-eliza-jacket).

As to whether or not you want to use this hiking and climbing, I personally would lean towards no - this jacket seems to me to be intended more for it's aesthetic appeal and those who are fashion-conscious than for it's applicability and functionality in an outdoor environment. Just one man's opinion, of course. However, I hope this helped you out.

    Thank you for your help!

It might have been a little too hopeful, but I noticed that Prana said the jacket has some stretch and the waterproof and breathability ratings looked ok for someone who might get caught in the rain as opposed to intentionally backpacking in the rain. I'll post my experience with the sizing if I end up ordering it.

By the way, the number on a bra measurement is for the band. It's supposed to be close to the measurement in inches of the ribcage under the breasts. Most places do this wrong and add 4 or 5 inches and make that the band measurement, which is why most women aren't wearing the best bra size for them.
