On the Bargain Rack, It's a Good Deal

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I admit it. Sometimes when I try to save money, it doesn't always work out. I've always wanted a long down jacket for winter, but they are always so expensive. I had never bought a Prana jacket, so I thought I'd try it out. This jacket is VERY flattering. Is it the warmest coat in the world? No. I do like the rain resistance feature, but if you are going to be in the snow, rain or cold for an extended period, I'd pick a different coat from the closet.

Too small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I am usually a large- in fact, I don't own any X-L, but on the advice of the other reviews I ordered an XL. And its too small. Fits ok in the body if you only have one layer on, but the sleeves are too short. I'm returning it.

Some good stuff...

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

but I ended up returning this one, because although the body fit well, the arms were too small for movement to be full with a thin sweater underneath. I am 5'5" and 116 lbs, and don't have Hulk arms, but the Small size felt too contricting in the arms and shoulders. Overall the teal blue color is really nice, the price is right, and the weight is light but warm. Might be perfect for some, just not me.

Cute jacket, but not super warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really wanted this jacket to work out. The blue spruce was a nice color and the style of the jacket was so cute- seam up the back, zippers at the wrists, warm pockets. But this jacket was not warm enough for January in Pittsburgh and the sleeves were too short (I'm 5' 8" with average length arms). So I returned it- sadly.
