You almost redpointed your cave problem today ... if only your finger hadn't gotten stuck in that pocket one move away from the top. If only your foothold hadn't broken off right after your finger got stuck, too. It's OK; the prAna Men's Bronson Pant are easy to pull on even if only have nine digits left, and the Bronson's abrasion-resistant cotton feels soft as you recount your story to your girl.

Bottom Line: Hardcore.

I Believe

I am extremely cheap, and Prana's Bronson was my first "field" pant. I used to buy 501's because they were cheap, durable, and had a fit that allowed range of motion without all the extra material. I work 12 hours a day 5 days a week trekking through everything from old growth to 5 year old clear cuts. This pant has been an eye opener! It's durable enough to bully your way through the brush, gives the range of motion you need to jump logs and creeks, doesn't snag on every bramble, and so comfortable I wear them at home while laughing at Bear Grills on the TV. Worth every dime, I just bought two more.

I measure 31 and wear a 32 in these- size up. Sure a belt is usually required, but nice fit none the less.

Nothing worse than not being able to fit your hands in the pockets because the pants are too tight.

Too large

By:
January 9, 2011

I can normally wear a 34 waist with or without a belt, depending on brand. But these felt like a 36. Otherwise, looked like good construction. Sent them back for a refund.

Go with the 32's, you'll most likely fit those without any issues.

I bought these to be my tough climbing pants and they are sweet for climbing and as my lady informed me they look real good and could even be used for slightly dressed up occasions, score!

Similar To The Prana Corduroy

By: Backcountry.com Employee
July 7, 2010

I've been wearing the Prana Corduroy's for a long time and was lost when Prana stopped making them. Tried these out and they're pretty much the same pant with a different name. A little stiff at first, but the loosen up after a couple of hours of wear. Super durable and the fit is perfect. Not too baggy and not too skinny. I even bought a pair and cut them into shorts. Can't go wrong with Prana.
