The prAna Bronson has rivet reinforcements and added stretch so it's durable enough to handle all kinds of crazy stuff like vaulting over fences in pursuit of bad guys and sliding across car hoods as you sprint through busy intersections. Or maybe it's just durable enough to handle kicking back with a cold one after you finally send that stupid-hard bouldering problem.

  • A touch of spandex adds flexibility for kicking your feet up
  • Standard fit works well for post-climb chilling
  • Gusseted crotch gives your legs room to move

Great alternative to denim jeans

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 8"
    Weight: 140 lbs
    Size Purchased: 32 x 32

These pants are jean-like, and really comfortable. I'm 5'8", 140#, and normally wear a 32 x 32 in a 505 jean. I must be shrinking, because with a low-heel shoe, (almost like running flats), the hem dragged a bit on the ground. I had them hemmed, and now they're perfect.
I didn't measure the inseam, so I don't know if they were long, or I should start buying 30 or 31 inch inseams.
Overall, very comfortable, low waist, and my wife says they look good on me!

These are definitely keepers.
Hope this helps.

Great everyday pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 160 lbs

I like the fit and kit, great option instead of the regular blue jean. As others stated, the pewter was too greenish for my taste, if it came as pictured I would have kept that pair. Cargo pocket just barely holds an iPhone 6, and I like it's location.

Sweet pants

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 8"
    Weight: 150 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30"

These pants are so versatile that I went back and orderered a 2nd and a 3rd color. I love them. The look great and feel great. They are versatile enough for climbing or a night on the town. The stretch material wears very comfortably. The cell phone pocket is very handy.

My New Favorite

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 9"
    Weight: 165 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30x32

I have to say I'm extremely pleased with these pants. I have a hard time finding pants that fit me the way I like. I'm about 5'9", 165 lbs, 40" chest and 29-30" waste. I don't like pants that are skinny, or loose. These are perfect. They fit true to size in the waste and in-seam. I bought them on sale; however, knowing they fit correctly, the company is certified fair trade (I believe), and they use recycled materials I would gladly pay more. These appear to be top quality with double and triple stitching throughout and they have the PERFECT gusset. I highly recommend them.

Took the top spot in the dresser

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 1"
    Weight: 170 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33x34

These pants quickly became my number one pair in my dresser. They are very similar to Mountain Khakis, but with a more slim cut and slight stretch. This makes them much more comfortable as they have more give during active use. They are not quite as thick as the mountain pant, but they do seem to be strong enough for most adventures and chores.

quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 0"
    Weight: 175 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33 x32

roomy comfortable fit but a bit too long for me. i'm used to wearing a 32 inseam, that is not to say the inseam didn't measure out exactly at 32", because it did. i just didn't want to always cuff these and I will need to look elsewhere to find a 30" inseam.

really liked the utility side pocket, smart phone fit perfectly inside.

large leg opening that looks good with a boot or a pair of chacos but not so much with a pair of dress shoes.

solid all around pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 3"
    Weight: 200 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33/long

I have worn these pants for a couple of years now and keep going back to them. Just got back from Zion where I climbed 5 semi-long free routes and whether I was in a chimney groveling for my life or high stepping on a little foot, I never once thought about my pants. I also use them for my uniform at work along with a dozen other folks. We are down on our knees fitting ski boots a thousand times a day and they are super comfy. We have people at work from 6'3 (me) to 5'7 and everything in between and we've all found the sizing to be spot on and the fit to be great. Not sure what else you could want in a pant!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 1"
    Weight: 184 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33 x 32

I am a huge fan of these pants and have owned several pairs over the years. Durable, comfortable and they look great. Best of all I know that I can count on the consistency of the fit and quality. Keep it up prAna!

Great Pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants have a great fit and the stretch makes them extremely comfortable. I have worn them a ton and they are very durable.

Another 5 star

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 11"
    Weight: 165 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33x32

I've only worn these pants a couple times but the fabric seems really durable as others have said and they are comfortable as well.

Crotch Comfort Supreme

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 8"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: 28x32

I didn't even know what a gusseted crotch was until I purchased these pants and now I wish every pair of pants was stitched together this way. It allows for so much more comfort and movement. These pants are thick and seem very durable. My only issue is that the zipper on mine seems to want to come down easier than other pants, not sure if it is just my pair or a regular thing. And like other people said, Pewter is definitely a light green and not grey as the picture shows.

Still a winner!

Still a winner!

I love climbing in these!

Great pants.

Great pants but not for warmer weather

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Always trusted the prana brand. and this pants is no exception. Great for anything, from going out, trekking to climbing. Just that it is of a thicker material so it gets abit warm during hotter temperatures.

awesome pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 9"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30x32

bought these because they look nice but also seem pretty durable. the gusseted crotch and stretch fabric make for awesome bouldering pants!

Great pant

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I love these pants. Just the right fit without feeling like a skinny jean. I like the stretch in the fabric. The fabric is TOUGH! My hiking partner has worn hers on 60 different hikes and they aren't even showing a little bit of wear. The pewter color has a little more green to it than I'd like, but I still rock 'em. I love these pants so much that I bought them in every color.

prAna = Solid Products!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

Between the mens prAna Axiom jeans, the Brion stretch pant, and these, the Bronson's, I feel set for life.

I rarely stray within a brand and doing so can be dangerous, especially with prAna!

The Theorem jeans were WAY too tight and because I'm not a scrony little hipster boy, I couldn't wear them. I don't know about you, but I prefer being able to move up a route/problem, without feeling like my nuts are in a vice grip, if ya know what I mean?!?!

These are awesome. They look super stylish and are comfortable whether climbing, cragging, dining, or setting out on backcountry adventures. They are around the same fit as the Axiom I would say, though slightly on the smaller side.

For example, I wear a 34/34 in these, and a 32/34 in the Axiom, so the waste is tighter on the Bronson IMO.

Great pants... I'll be getting another pair soon! The green color is awesome and true to what's pictured. (Cargo Green)

Great Pants but Pewter is actually green

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I love these pants. They fit true to size and I could spend 24 hours a day in them. The stretch is great and the gusseted crotch is incredibly comfortable. The only complaint I have is the Pewter color which looks like an awesome grey in the photo is actually some kind of green. Its more green then grey...beware. I wonder what the cargo green looks like.

Great cotton pants with stretch

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've worn these easily over a dozen times, from hiking, lounging around the house, out doing various weekend activities, and I have even recently slept in them while camping. The fit is good, and I really like the stretch for whatever activity I might be doing. My only complaint is they don't have 30" inseam as an option. For this kind of money you think they can make sizes in both 30" and 32" versus having to bring them to a tailor to fix that.

Nearly great but rivets damage furniture

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

These pants would be excellent as other users have mentioned, but the second time I wore them they damaged a wooden dining room chair. The rivets on the back pockets dented and scratched the chair while I was sitting on them. Unlike flat rivets that other companies use, these have a sharp point (similar to a ball point pen) and will damage your furniture if you sit on them. If Prana could use a more appropriate rivet, they'd be five star pants. Be careful!
