The prAna Bronson has rivet reinforcements and added stretch so it's durable enough to handle all kinds of crazy stuff like vaulting over fences in pursuit of bad guys and sliding across car hoods as you sprint through busy intersections. Or maybe it's just durable enough to handle kicking back with a cold one after you finally send that stupid-hard bouldering problem.

  • A touch of spandex adds flexibility for kicking your feet up
  • Standard fit works well for post-climb chilling
  • Gusseted crotch gives your legs room to move

All I ever wear

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

While I was about to delete the email requesting a review, I realized I'm wearing the pants. Since I tell everyone that makes eye-contact what a great pair of pants I have on, I thought this is a great way to broaden my audience.

These pants are amazing. I have them in three colors, mud being my favorite. They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn, something I used to say about Kuhl Revolvr's until I tried these on.

I'm an athletic build and they have a relaxed feel but a slimming look. I also like that the (useless) side pocket is behind the leg seam and lays flat. Most pants in this category tend to have a baggy look and saggy side pockets or worse cargo pockets with flaps. I don't care to have my EDC or gear bulging out everywhere. I like the casual Bond look, ready to spring into action at a moments notice. Speaking of pockets, front and back are DEEP and useful.

Bottom line. Buy them and you'll throw out all the other brands. Someday, when I leave this place I'll be buried in them. Someone will say, man, there goes a fine pair of pants.

workhorse pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I normally wear my Prana Stretch Zion pants everywhere. Well I was traveling to Michigan in January and there's all this stuff called snow that I (living in Las Vegas, NV) don't experience much. I really love how Prana fits my body type so I tried on a pair of these and instantly fell in love. They are perfect casual pants and work fine with any outdoors stuff.

These things feel tough. Like you could build a house, dig a trench, wrestle an alligator, climb a few pitches, go down some terrible descent full of bushes and shrub, go grab a cold beer, and then go home? to the house you built and these pants wouldn't have a mark.

These are up there with my favorite pants ever. These and my Zions and that's all I need.

If they could put in a built in belt with these it'd be heaven.

If you want a great all around pant then I would go with these any day. Heck, I'd have a few in different colors.

Climbing at Muir Valley, Kentucky on 2-1-2014. Stretch fabric and inseam gusset gives you total range of movement. Got a little blood from my finger on them and it washed right off with cold water. Best climbing pants ever!

Solid pants

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

These just may be the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn. They are extremely soft yet you can tell they can take quite a beating out on the trail or wherever you may find yourself. The spandex also adds an extra element of comfort. I agree with a previous review that the leg openings are a little wider than I would like but it may just be the design to fit over hiking boots. I wish it came in a 30 inch inseam but nothing a little cuff fold can't fix. I am 5'8 / 155 and the 30X32 is a great fit in the waist. Overall, solid pair of pants. My first pair of Prana's so I may have to see what else they have to offer...

Good versatile pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these for work because I wanted something casual that I could wear all the time. These are perfect for me. They are rugged but still have some stretch. They look good at work, around town, or hiking around.

I've washed them about a hundred times and they have not faded or wore down.
Very nice fit with some stretch to them. As far as I'm concerned I think Prana makes the best pants. They are soo versatile and have the best fit and look out there. I have 3 pairs of prana pants and thats all I wear.

I have a pair of these pants from last year and I really love the fit. That being said I just ordered another pair a couple of weeks ago and the fit seems much wider in the leg at the bottom of the pant. I laid both of the pants on top of one another and in fact my pants from last year had a much more tapered leg. Does anyone know if they changed the fit on this model since last year or did I unknowingly shrink my older pants in the wash over time?

Responded on

I know they made the side pocket smaller, which is annoying and now doesn't really hold anything in or serve a purpose. I'm not sure about the leg though...

These pants fit true to size, have a slight stretch, and plenty of room for movement where it is needed. Quality Prana construction and durability. I'm hooked!

Do they fit true to size? I usually wear a 31" so I'm not sure whether to go for the 30" or the 32"

Responded on

Yes this pant should fit true to the sizing chart!

Great Pants!

I have these in a few colors. Great fabric that is durable without feeling boardy. The stretch makes them super comfortable.

I love these pants!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There I said it. I love these pants. I know what you are thinking: Prana, king of the over priced stretchy pant. While this may not be totally untrue they do make a great climbing pant. I cannot count the number of pants that I have ripped the crotches on during a high step or stretching for that far out foot. Prana's use of spandex and the gusseted crotch goes a long way toward allowing its wearer a full range of movement. The fabric is also nice and durable to handle those chimneys and desperate mantles. While a little more than I generally like to invest in a pant, this pant really gets the job done and I highly recommend it!
