Casual Workday or Fancy Hike Day

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30x30

I love the versatility these pants provide. They look great with a polo for casual Fridays but they are light weight and quick drying in case you wanted to throw these on for a Saturday hike.

    Prana brion pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 30

Intro: Very versatile pants with durable, comfortable material. Stylish option which looks good for work, causal day out, climbing and hiking.

Fit: I got a 30 and I usually wear 31-32. Fit is great.

Preformance/use: hiking, climbing (both indoor and outdoor)

Pros/cons: Versatile pant which looks good in most scenarios. Nice durable fabric. No cons. Worth the price

    Favorite pants

These are hands down my favorite pants to climb in and to also wear around. They are nice enough so I can wear them all day then go to the gym and climb in them. I like the stretch so it does not restrict your movement at all.

      Exceeded Expectations

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: True to size

I gave these as a gift to my significant other. He was a bit adverse to the material at first (having never owned pants made of anything similar). After one full day of wearing them, he said they are incredibly comfortable, he and he is impressed with the way they look and fit.

      love at first wear

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I bought these pants 30 minutes ago and already feel compelled to write a raving review. They are the perfect freaking fit. They are nice and skinny (but not too skinny]. moreover, they have a nice elastic stretch (great for activities). And the colors are awesome!

      Favorite Prana Pants. Period.

The Briton pants are the bomb. Not only are they same durable, stretchy, comfortable material as the traditional stretch Zion pant, but they are also cut to actually wear around when you're not climbing or hiking. The tapered leg cut is comfortable and non-restrictive while still offering superior wind and water resistance and all in a package that can be worn out to dinners and whatever else you need it for. Then you can still hit the trails or the rock gym afterwards because these pants are just so versatile! A must have for an prana fan.

      The BOMB

I wanted to try these and compare them to the Stretch Zion, as I have a pair of those and absolutely love them. I have to say, I like these even better! They have the same great stretch and durability as the Zion, but they are just a tad slimmer through the legs and more stylish in my opinion as they don't have the side cargo pocket or the adjustable waist belt. I have worn these for days in a row and they are so comfortable, I've even slept in them. I like that they have all the functionality of the Zion, but make you look a little less nerdy when you go straight from climbing to town. My new favorite pair of pants, Prana never dissapoints!

Really comfortable and can take a beatin

Bought these for my fiance and he wears these into work and he's still happy to keep them on if he goes climbing after. The stretch is really nice and they still have the appearance of a good looking pair of jeans.

      A Little Long

These will be my initial impressions as I have been wearing the pants for all of 30 minutes. I am compelled to say I have never been comfortable in pants, until now. These are great, full range of movement & lightweight with out looking like I am wearing a track suit. Only downfall is they are a bit baggier then I thought they were from the images, read not as "fitted" and they seem a bit long for 32"s being 6' this is normally my length, but in this case they could cover my heel without shoes on. (that might be an issue with other brands, as I don't buy too many pants)

TLDR - Will buy again, just in a 30" inseam next time.

      A Tailored Look

I tried a pair of the Brion pants after liking the Zion pants purchased years ago. The Brion appealed because they have a slightly trimmer fit (but not what I would consider "skinny") and otherwise look normal since they do not have a thigh pocket, leg snaps or a built in cinch-belt like the Zion. They fit great, and I love the fabric which is stretchy and lightweight without feeling paper thin like some nylon pants. I wish they came in a medium gray color. As it stands, I may next try the Prana Bridger pants which look to have the same cut and fit only in a stretch denim material.

      Best pants EVER!

If you're like me, you work hard and play hard, it's a lifestyle. These pants are for the go-getters out there who want to dress for success in the workplace, and on the climbing wall. I have eight pairs of the prAna Brion pants and cannot recommend them enough. Very comfortable for day use, and highly functional for hiking, climbing, biking, or other outdoor activities that you may do. With a variety of colors, there's a pair for every occasion. The stretch zion fabric is phenomenal, it stretches when you need it, but maintains it stretchiness through constant use and and repeated washing. If you're looking for the best outdoor pant on the market, look no further.

      Almost perfect.

Okay i'm just going to get the part i don't like about these over with.. They seem to run slightly large. I wear anywhere from a 29-30 waist and a 32 in inseam . the length is okay but the waist seems to be huge! i wish i would have gotten a 28 inch waist.

Now that that the bad is over lets get to the nitty gritty. I own four different pairs of these and I seriously feel like i could use them for pretty much anything! Seriously.. on the rare occasion that i go to church i wear the Mud color of these and they looks amazing. I use them to climb in, Hike in, go out on the town in, and on warmer days i will throw a base layer underneath near and snowshoe in them as they are highly water resistant. not water proof.. but highly water resistant for sure.

...Heck they are so light and comfy i've even considered sleeping in them..

      Almost perfect.

      Perfect Pant

I snagged a pair of these for my bf, and he loves them. Just as much as his Lulu pants... if not more. First and foremost, it's awesome that these come in so many different sizes. They fit very true- he generally wears a 30-32 waist, and the 31s fit perfect. The inseam ran true in length as well. I thought that with a 'regular' fit they would be baggier, but they are a little more straight/trim. Not skintight by any means, but definitely not baggy.
The material is also pretty swell. Some stretch allows for easy movement, and in general they just lay against the skin nicely- not stiff or overbearing. And they for sure can be dressed up nicer with a sweet flannel, or your everyday pant with a basic tee. Overall, killer pants- you'll be coming back for more than one pair.

      Great for casual and adventure

The week after I got these I used them to do a lot of scrambling and climbing at Indian Creek. I couldn't have asked for more. When I got hot, the legs stayed rolled up without restricting my motion. They also have a bit more of a casual look than some of the other prana pants, so that (and their comfort) has made them my favorite pants for school as well. I'm 5'10" 150 lbs. The 30x32 is perfect for me without needing a belt.

Oh Backcountry, why no love for shorty?

I love my Brion pants in 28x30 inseam. Alas, they have a hole from scrambling to the boulders. Why won't you stock for us of smaller stature, Backcounty? I'm not that short; 5'8", just under average.

        Most Comfortable Pants

These are the most comfortable pants I own. The material stretches to move with you. They also look good enough to pull off in some more casual work settings. I now regret wearing any other pants to work. I should have bought more!

They dry quickly and don't seem to get very wrinkled either. The colors (even the brighter ones) are relatively subdued. Nothing is too flashy or bright. I also like that they are relatively breathable so they aren't stiflingly hot in the summer. At the same time, they are warm enough to pull off in the early spring or fall when it's cool out.

The Prana Zion Pants with the cargo pocket are better for camping and hiking, while these are better if you want to wear them around town, but have the option of getting outdoors as well.

I don't think anyone would regret getting a pair (or a few pairs) of these pants. You will end up wearing them every day.

        Unanswered Question

My Zion Pants size S are 17inches in waist (laid down flat) - they are perfect - need to find the corresponding size in the Brion Pant..
Please, could someone provide the actual waist measure when the Brion Pants are laid down flat.. Size 30 and 32...
        Thank you.

what does the bottom cuff measure?

        Unanswered Question

Does anybody else find that the inseam runs long? For example, I am nearly always a 32x32 and even with the pRana WYATT, I wear a 32x32 but the Brion feels like a 31 inseam would be perfect. I'm trying both a 32 and 30 inseam. What's your take?

I have several pairs of these pants and love them. However, I notice that when I want to buy more my size is never available, in the colours I like. Being in Australia I can't try on clothes so I take a risk buying online. What are some brands that offer fitted or slim fit hiking/climbing pants, I hate baggy pants and like the feel of fitted pants with stretch like the brions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Try Zipravs. They are Korean-made. The ones I got from Amazon fit great and appear to be pretty durable so far....The shipping from Korea was easier for me to get in Alaska than from the lower 48. They also run small. I wear a 30 and ordered a 32 and they are perfect. Good luck!

Thanks heaps buddy, believe it or not I have had a few wins with Korean made pants especially dress pants. I will check them out now. Thanks again!

Are these basically the stretch zion pants...

Are these basically the stretch zion pants but with a slimmer fit?

Although the picture makes them look a little slimmer they are a standard fit, just like the Stretch Zion pants. The Brion pant is a blend of the Bronson pant and the Stretch Zion pant. The Brion pant has the same fabric as the Zion but it doesn't have the built in adjustable belt, the roll up leg snaps or the cargo pocket. Like the Bronson, it has the 5 pocket styling with the reinforced rivet details. Essentially streamlining this style to be more of a casual feel but still with the same awesome, super durable fabric of the Zion, that we have all come to know and love.

And just a side note, they are also DWR coated :)
