Perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 155 lbs
    Size Purchased: 32-32

Used these to climb indoors (too hot for outdoors right now). As great as the reviews below. Wallet pocket is a little odd (zips on side), but works fine. Slim fit enough to look decent around town. Will say that I found the M too big in Prana shorts, but the 32/32 perfect in the pants.

These Pants are the Bomb!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 5"
    Weight: 127 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30X30

These pants are absolutely excellent. They’re comfortable, durable, packable, diverse and I’ve had several attractive women tell me that they make my butt look good. It’s for this reason that I now own 3 pairs of these pants.

I wear these pants everywhere; at home, to the gym, when I’m out and about… feel comfortable wearing them everywhere. They’re functional enough to wear climbing and still fit well enough to wear to your local watering hole post-climbing session.
Best material on the market

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These pants feature Prana's Zion Stretch fabric, and it is incredible. The stuff is remarkably comfortable, breathes well, and is unbelievably durable. I wear these year round, and find them comfortable in most situations.

LOVE THESE PANTS!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 6' 1"
    Weight: 155 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30X32

I've only had them a short time but they're easily one of the most comfortable pairs of pants I've ever worn! They seem pretty durable and have a nice amount of stretch. I normally wear a 31X34 but the 30X32 fits well!

Top notch quality.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 4"
    Weight: 210 lbs
    Size Purchased: 36

I've had a pair of these for years. The only thing that's showing any wear is the velcro fly. They replaced with a zipper with the new ones. They also added the second pocket on the backside. Very nice upgrades. Wear them to work and to play.

Great brand

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 170 lbs
    Size Purchased: 33x32

I've always heard great things about these pants so I decided to check 'em out. These pants are extremely comfortable because of the fabric blend. The 3% spandex allows the pants to stretch so you don't have to worry about them tearing. (They do run a little long in the inseam.) These are honestly a great pair of pants and I would recommend them to anyone whether they would use them for casual wear, business casual, going out or hiking and camping.

Love them!!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 9"
    Weight: 150 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30 x 32

I wear these pants every week. Whether I am climbing, hiking or just going to work. They are extremely comfortable and fit true to size. They come in great colorways and are really breathable if you are doing high output activities like climbing.

Initial impressions

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Height: 6' 0"
    Weight: 160 lbs
    Size Purchased: 32x32

I just got these pants since hot weather is right around the corner here in UT, and we will be able to ditch the waders and wet wade. Just picked these up in 32x32 and tried them out, I am exactly a 32 waist and these fit perfect in that area. The inseam is a little long but I don't mind that especially since i will be wearing them with wading or hiking boots.

More than a casual pant.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 11"
    Weight: 130 lbs
    Size Purchased: 30 x 32

I know the Men's Brion Pant falls under Prana's casual line, but I love climbing in it. The smooth fabric feels superlight and very breathable--it'll be perfect for the summertime. This pant's insane amount of stretch helps me pull moves like this one on Orange Crush.

More than a casual pant.

what does the bottom cuff measure?

If you are looking for the measurements of the leg opening at the bottom of the pant they are - 17 1/4" on the circumference and 8 5/8" on the flat. Hope that helps.

Prana Brion Pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Height: 6' 2"
    Weight: 175 lbs
    Size Purchased: 32x32

These are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. They fit well and because of the stretch fabric I'm able to move freely in them. I would recommend them.

My favorite pant

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

The brions are my favorite pant, and I've had almost all of them from prAna. The stretch fabric is super comfy, the fit is great. Not baggy, not tight. I'm a average size guy. I am bulkier than a climber but still athletic and they fit great.

Most confortable pants in the world

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The title says it all, they look great, don't need much to keep them wrinkle free, and again... they feel fantastic. Ever wondered what it would feel like to not be wearing any pants at all?? These pants are as close as it gets to waking around naked... while not drawing attention to yourself. : )

Had to get a pair

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Some buddies and I recently went on a several month bike tour and since we had to carry our gear the whole way, we could only bring one pair of pants. Both of them had the Brions while I had a different brand of hiking pants. Mine worked well and felt great but when we would get off our bikes and go into town, I was so envious that their pants performed well AND looked stylish. When I got back, I got a pair and can't recommend them enough. They really feel great and even though they're skinny, they don't restrict movement. At all. Also, they dry really quick which is nice. They got soaked this morning and within 30 minutes they were almost completely dry.

Unanswered Question

Does anybody else find that the inseam runs long? For example, I am nearly always a 32x32 and even with the pRana WYATT, I wear a 32x32 but the Brion feels like a 31 inseam would be perfect. I'm trying both a 32 and 30 inseam. What's your take?

I have several pairs of these pants and...

I have several pairs of these pants and love them. However, I notice that when I want to buy more my size is never available, in the colours I like. Being in Australia I can't try on clothes so I take a risk buying online. What are some brands that offer fitted or slim fit hiking/climbing pants, I hate baggy pants and like the feel of fitted pants with stretch like the brions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Try Zipravs. They are Korean-made. The ones I got from Amazon fit great and appear to be pretty durable so far....The shipping from Korea was easier for me to get in Alaska than from the lower 48. They also run small. I wear a 30 and ordered a 32 and they are perfect. Good luck!

Thanks heaps buddy, believe it or not I have had a few wins with Korean made pants especially dress pants. I will check them out now. Thanks again!

UPDATE - I just bought two pairs, they look like exactly what I want, finally!

Belay as well...

Belay as well...

These are comfortable enough to stand and belay in, especially while belaying from awkward positions. I've done multi-pitch in these pants and still, they breathed well and didn't chafe whatsoever.

One of my favorite all around climbing pants...

Obviously.

=)

Great on lead as well...

I feel like some pants are better than others when wearing a harness.

These are no exception though I must admit, they are great on lead as well or anytime wearing a harness. They fit tight in the butt and don't ride up which is nice.

Get yourself a pair.

I'm seeing a lot of hate sprayed about these, so I recommend you get a pair and see for yourself!

Great climbing pants...

Great climbing pants...

I love to climb in these. They are durable and stretch enough to get you into those crucial positions while climbing. I for one love these pants!

Great for climbing!

Hey Jeremiah,
Unfortunately we do not have any more of the blue ordered to come in at this time, sorry about that!
