What is the inseam on the size 28?

the inseam on the 28 will be 30 unless you get the 28x32 in which case it will be 32.

What is the inseam on size "33"? I'm looking for size 33x34

They make these in 34" Length, but for some reason Backcountry.com doesn't want tall guys business, or big footers business. . .

Great Climbing Pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These pants are a slimmer standard fit, really breathable and awesomely stretchy. They also are stain resistant and dry quickly. Perfect from crag to bar.

Great Look and Feel

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

These pants are really great. I am using these for hiking/travel. I kept running into the same problem when looking for this type of pants and tried on many many pairs at a local REI. All of the light material pants to me have the look of snowboarding pants, where the pant just extends straight down from the waist to the knee to the ankle with no shape or fit. If you find a pair with a little more fit, the material is usually thicker and more like a jean material. Prana's pants are the best of both worlds. These pants are made out of the most comfortable material i've tried on. They have this unique stretchy feel that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are light and feel great. The Brion's look great. I was a bit worried that they would look like hipster skinny jeans but I don't think they do. I would compare them to bootcut jeans with a nice fitted look. (there are some pics around the internet of people actual wearing them). If you want something a little looser, the stretch zion is the way to go. They are still not overly baggy, but are a little looser than the Brions. I ultimately went with the Brions, because of the fit and because there is no cargo pocket which, although could come in handy, felt a little awkward when walking, only being on one leg. The Brions are so comfortable.

I bought my exact size in other pants and they fit great.

I can't say how they hold up as I've just got them.

I like them

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

They look great, and are very comfortable. Il go climbing, then practice yoga then go straight to dinner in these pants and i get compliments. I just bought a pair and they were the only pants i brought for a week long climbing trip... I was impressed. (By the way they are stretchy and water resistant)

If I buy a size "30", what will the inseam length be?

The inseam length of the prAna Brion Pant should be 31" for the 32" waist.

Best pants ever!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are my favorite pants I've ever owned! They are crazy comfortable and durable and the DWR coating works wonders on preventing stains when you accidentally spill a beer on yourself. I love the stretch! I can go straight from work to climbing without having to change. Prana, the colors you have available are awesome, but please make more!

Love these pants! Why the belt?

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm 5'11 and 175lbs and usually wear a 32 but the 32s were a bit tight so I got the 33x32 which are just a bit loose in the waist. Fit through the legs is perfect if you prefer slim fit or skinny jeans like I do.

These are the most comfie pants for traveling, climbing, or just kicking around in the outdoors.

My only complaint is that they don't have anything to adjust the waist band so you may have to wear a belt if they don't fit tight enough. I've also got the Zion pants which have an adjustable waistband so I'm not sure why PrAna left this nice feature off the Brions. If they had the adjustable waistband, I'd give them 5 stars.

Didn't work out

These pants didn't quite work out. The material is perfect for climbing (durable with a bit of stretch) however, the fit was a bit awkward. Love the fact that there are plenty of pockets.

My husband's favorite!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I really like that these can be worn out and about, they are very casual looking yet I can go climb or hike in these. These pants are very flexible, perfect fall climbing pants. The pants are light-weight and the fit is pretty regular, they are not baggy but not tight pants. Fit is true to size! The pants are coated with DWR, if you spill beer, it will bead up then you can just flick it off. Very fast drying!

Not your Grandpa's Khakis

This are not your Grandpa's Khakis so if you want that look...look elsewhere. They are slightly tapered towards the knee giving them a slightly fitted look. They look great on me my gf said so.....

Hit and miss...

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the feel of these pants. They tend to be perfect for climbing, though like my title suggests, they are hit and miss. I have had several pairs of pRana products/jeans/stretch pants and sometimes they seem to be manufactured poorly. I've had to send them in for rips in seams after only a few uses etc. But that being said, once you get a pair that has been made/sewn well they tend to be durable and comfortable.

Just watch the stitching closely and make sure you have a decent pair. pRana needs to fix this problem as something wrong definitely happens on the production side of things...

I will give these 4 of 5 stars due to manufacturing issues I've had and the fact these pants aren't cheap!

(Pic is of me climbing in the 'Brion' pants in Bishop)

Does Prana run true to size?

I find that they do. Plus the stretchy material will give you a bit of give if...ahem...you gain a little weight in the off season. :)

I wear a 34 in The North Face and a 32 in pRana.

Great Pant

These pants are great. They are a mix of the prAna Bronson pant cut with the prAna stretch zion pant material. Super stretchy. durable. Awesome.

Are these basically the stretch zion pants...

Are these basically the stretch zion pants but with a slimmer fit?

Responded on

Although the picture makes them look a little slimmer they are a standard fit, just like the Stretch Zion pants. The Brion pant is a blend of the Bronson pant and the Stretch Zion pant. The Brion pant has the same fabric as the Zion but it doesn't have the built in adjustable belt, the roll up leg snaps or the cargo pocket. Like the Bronson, it has the 5 pocket styling with the reinforced rivet details. Essentially streamlining this style to be more of a casual feel but still with the same awesome, super durable fabric of the Zion, that we have all come to know and love.

And just a side note, they are also DWR coated :)
