Powderhorn made the Kate Primaloft Liner as zip-in/zip-out insulation for the Kate System's shell. But ski-babes loved its warmth, Old West steeze, and urban function so much that Powderhorn decided to sell it as a separate piece, too. (We're not 100% sure that last part is true, but it sounds plausible.) This Primaloft-insulated jacket warms you up whether you zip it into the Kate shell or just rock it around the block. The DWR treatment repels light snow flurries, and Underarm zips give you a cool-down option when noon rolls around.

Comfy. Super cute. Hits on the waist. I was borderline M/L and I got a large which I'm so glad I did. Perfect length. Not super warm. I thought this would for a light winter jacket but its more of a fall/spring. You can get the hard shell this zips into and then its super warm.
