Jesse James Pant - Men's

Last night's storm left a fresh foot of white goodness on the mountain—time to hang up the six shooters, don the waterproof breathable Powderhorn Men's Jesse James Pant, and head for the hills. Weather-shunning Dermizax fabric fends off everything but bullets, while the 60g of Primaloft insulation in the Jesse James Pant makes those chilly morning lift rides a bit more bearable. Powderhorn's hit these pants with western topstitching and rivets—leave the Stetson and chaps at home. Abrasion-resistant scuff guards at the cuff stand up to ski edges, tree branches and long parking lot journeys, while articulated knees provide a comfortable, non-restrictive fit.

Bottom Line: Choose powder over pistols.

Very nice pants

These pants are excellent for everyday skiing and riding. Use the suspenders to keep them up or let them hang low for increased style points. No matter what you are into these pants are awesome. They are not, however, the warmest pants I've ever used. But this is easy to fix with more layers or even the Airblaster Ninja Suit one-piece.

Companion to the Coat

By:

The Jesse James pants have a rustic elegance and western flare. They are moderately insulated so I am able to control their warmth with my different base layers. The fit is true, though I would prefer slightly more room in the crouch and upper thighs. I had no problems with soaking or dampness after full days of boarding and snowshoeing. The suspenders are removable and the back waistline has pull-tabs with Velcro to allow cinching for a tighter fit. The inner thigh vents are taped sealed zippers. The back 2 pockets are normal zippers tucked under flaps, while the front 2 pockets are vertical taped sealed zippers; and the right thigh has a buttoned cargo pocket. The fly is a normal zipper. My only complaint, I would like boot attaching hooks on the gaiters—though most people don’t prefer them.

Huge waist line

By:

Really liked the pant style. Ordered a medium (I'm 5'10" 150lbs with a 32" waist). Unfortunately the waist band on the mediums had to be about 36". Even synching the velcro/elasitc adjusters to the max, I couldn't get them to fit. Not entirely sure who the pant size was designed for, certainly not me.
