Description

The happiest trigger finger of them all.

The Pow Gloves Sniper GTX Trigger Gore-Tex Mitten uses a trusty mitten design to keep your digits warm, and a separate trigger finger gives you added dexterity. The Trigger Mitten is perfect for hitting the backcountry, because, aside from the glove/mitten synergy, it also has a great blend of weatherproof features, venting, and insulation. While you are making an ascent, you can unzip the low-profile vent on the back of the hand to minimize sweaty hands before you head down the mountain. The waterproof breathable Gore-Tex insert and the DWR treatment on the nylon shell keeps moisture away from your hand to keep you comfortable, and 100g Thinsulate insulation keeps you warm. Ultra-tough Climba-Tech palm material withstands ski edges and rope tows. Take out the removable polypro liner when the conditions are warm or to let it dry out after a hard day on the hill, so you'll be toasty and ready to go for the next day of the storm.

Poor Quality Issue

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just got these and was only able to use them twice on the mountain. The faux leather is now ripping off the palm and at the finger tips. I settled on these because of the price (Hestra makes a darn nice glove) and I suppose I'm paying for it, or not... pardon the terrible pun.

Otherwise, the gloves were used in 50 degree weather without the liners and did their job in being super warm. In the mid-20's, they were great with the liners (with e-touch tips) and did their job as well.

Two stars for being good but dying on me after two uses? Bummer.

Are the index finger and thumb e-touch? It looks as though they are in the picture.

Responded on

They may work for some phones, but from what I can find, they are not specifically "e-touch". I did find some ways that people claimed made gloves work with touch screens (sewing something into the fingertips), so you could definitely look into that.

They SEEM good, however,

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

They are sized so small that i never got to use them. I ordered a medium, as I have very small hands, but am exchanging them for xls

Best Glove on the Market

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Trigger glove is my favorite by far! I love the warmth these gloves give you but I can still use my fingers like a normal glove. It is genius!

And the GoreTex is essential. My hands always stay warm and totally dry! I will never go to a different glove company. I have used so many different gloves over the years and they wear out or don't maintain waterproofs. POW has given me quality every time!

Really liked the versatility of this Trigger Mitt for Snowmobiling and Snowboarding.
Alot of times I am out doing both, and with a mitt that allows the finger-on-da-trigger, I can gas and brake while still holding onto the handlebars. Also great to have the finger for adjusting bindings.

GoreTex on this model is also a major reason I chose this model.
I tend to overheat, and the zipper vent has been great for hiking to dump out extra heat.

POW Gloves GTX Sniper Trigger Mitten

You work hard for those donuts. Shouldn't you get the most out of them? Gore-Tex, Free Polypro Liner, on the fly venting and the list goes on and on. The warmth of a mitt with the free finger function. The Sniper abides!

Junk

Very poor quality build on these mittens. I tore the velcro strap off of both mitts while trying them on. Other notes about the mitten if poor quality does not dissuade you; I would recommend sizing up and they do not come with, or have any reasonable way of attaching a wrist leash. I cannot speak to how they perform on the slopes because I returned them after they fell apart trying them on.
On a positive note, this experience convinced me to purchase a pair of Hestra 3 finger mittens at twice the price (spend twice as much get 10 times the quality and serviceable life). My initial impression is they are very well made, super comfortable, fit true to their sizing chart with room for a liner glove and they come with wrist leashes. I will give a proper review once I have used them for awhile.

Bummer, POW has one of the the best durability records on the market. Every once and a while one escapes our stringent quality control process. It is too bad you did not give it another shot. This glove performs extremely well!
