Winter's wrath has nothing on the POW Assault Plus Gloves. POW Gloves hooked up these heavyweight gloves with Thinsulate insulation for frozen temps and Hipora waterproof inserts to fight the wettest conditions. No worries about cold, clammy digits thanks to a micro-fleece interior and a removable moisture-wicking polypropylene liner. Premium goatskin leather on the palm stands up to multiple seasons of abuse and a full gauntlet design locks out snow.

Bottom Line: Assault the cold.

Have you tried these gloves? Also, are the inserts only waterproof

Have you tried these gloves? Also, are the inserts only waterproof or is the outside shell waterproof as well? I am thinking about this glove or Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove or Hestra Heli 3-Finger Glove.

There are inserts in the shell that are waterproof, not the liner. As far as im concerned, i dont think these gloves are anything special. They do keep your hands warm, but they wont go though as much punishment as the Marmots.

no eVent

I bought them purely for the eVent, and then they had none.

Anyone know how warm this glove is. Thinsulate is pretty old

Anyone know how warm this glove is. Thinsulate is pretty old stuff...if this thing had prima-loft insulation with eVent liners...I wouldn't hesitate. Let me know.

Sorry folks...accidently erased the answer. I think the reply was that the glove was not the warmets but up there.

Not quite as advertised.

I'm disappointed when descriptions end up being false. There is NO eVent waterproofing in these gloves!! It's some stuff I've never heard of called "Hyperion" or something like that. Only 10k waterproofing, not the 30k advertised. I was REALLY looking forward to the eVent goodness. Backcountry.com, please change the description accordingly!

That being said, they seem like they could be OK, and they were cheap (on SAC), so I'm just going to stick with them rather than go through the hassle of returning them.
