I bought this watch for my swimming training. Polar is the only brand I know that provides you heart rate information under water, and that was exactly what I was looking for.

The display is pretty simple but has big numbers, just what you need when you just need a quick look at your heart rate before you go for your next drill.

    Polar FT1 Heart Rate Monitor

I bought this last month to monitor my heart rate while training for Tour of Utah. It is the most basic heart rate monitor available here, but that was all I wanted it for. It never missed a beat the whole time I was wearing it! For the basic means I was looking for, this is the perfect heart rate monitor, and I am already planning on using it cross training in the off-season too.

Is this heart rate monitor one that you can check your heart rate at any time, by pressing a button? Nother one i got did not offer could only be checked while exercising. I would like an easy way to check my heart rate anytime.
