Polar Display Protection Shield - 2006 BCS

The instructions to install the protection shield were wrong. You have to remove the wrist band in order to install it. After that, it worked perfectly. A must to protect the display, it should have come with the watch.

I bought 2 of these when I bought my watch. I am very pleased with fit and quality.

The 'Display Protection Shield' is made of a somewhat flexible material. I've bumped it into walls/furniture, etc. with gnarly a mark on the shield but the nicest feature is that it cushions the blow, so I avoid the fingernails on a chalkboard reaction that I had when I have ground my other watches against rough surfaces.

Bottom Line - For very little money it's good insurance.

The watch is already pretty big but as I wanted to start wearing it during summer activities (hiking, mtn. biking, etc) I thought this might be a little cheap screen protection. It is a little hard to take on and off but seems to be doing an ok job. So far I have not torn it off. Sometimes the display is a little harder to read.

After putting a big scratch in the face of my AXN 500 and agonizing over it, I put several more on my SX625 Running Monitor. I went to the Web looking for a solution and I found it! This display shield is the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy. It fits well, looks good, and really works. Best of all, it actually improves the readability of your display by slightly magnifying it. I've already put a gouge in mine while moving furniture; without the shield it would have likely damaged my watch. When it gets beat up enough I'll simply replace it. If you own a high end Polar you need this. With a little trimming it also fits my SX625. Don't leave home without it...

This is a must have part for any Polar AXN watch owner. It fits nice and tight and it is easy to see through. Best of all, you no longer have to worry about scratching the face....ever. Get one!
