Description

Perfect for the Pacific Crest Trail to the AT.

Boasting a calf-height fit perfect for hiking boots and naturally breathable merino wool for comfort, the Point6 Hiking Tech Lightweight Crew Sock is the only sock you'll need for long days on the trail. A deep heel pocket snugs up the heel of your foot without pulling the rest of the threads uncomfortably tight across your instep or toes.
  • Light cushioning under the foot adds a little spring to your step when you're wearing dress shoes or rigid trail runners
  • Mesh ventilation panels help to keep your feet from overheating should you dress for the cold and find yourself somewhere that's warmer than you expected
  • Reinforced toe and heel eliminate seam blowouts at inopportune moments

Hands down best light socks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Love these socks. I use them for just about everything but backpacking, in which case I use the heavy ones. They fit superbly. I can't stand it when socks sag down around the ankle, most socks I'm constantly pulling them up. Not these, they stay put like a soldier put at attention. These socks don't get hot when on the trail all day and dry fast if wet. Blisters are virtually a thing of the past. I won't say these will prevent them but they do a superb job of minimizing the risk at getting blisters (another reason I wear heavy ones backpacking, do an even better job of stopping blisters, along with good shoes of course).

Great Quality, Consistent Fit and Wear

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have owned a lot of wool blend socks from various manufacturers, and these are my favorite. They are quality throughout, I love them for any day that is 70 degrees or less. After running these through the wringer, they hold up as well as any I've owned. The knit (warp and woof?) just seems to be tighter or more compact without contributing to bulk. I would definitely buy again, and I even sneak in the black color for the office on casual Fridays.

Two big toes up!

For the past 4 months, I have only owned 3 pairs of socks. This is one of them! I've been hiking and climbing in excess, so I've put them through a test or two... They are true to size, they are still form-fitting, they have not shrunk or stretched (I hand wash and air dry all of my wool clothes to avoid that), and they keep my feet at a perfect temperature, and they don't retain heavy odor!

Strong and Comfortable

Bought 5 pairs of socks for my farther who works on a ranch in Texas, he only wear 2 pairs for work use only. For the last couple of months he has worn them in the nice cool weather all the way too 120 degrees, he has worn these Socks and they have not yet caused him to have Blister, stinky feet, and hot spots while working. He is very surprised about its durability on keeping his fit cool and comfortable while working in the heat.

Can't Bust 'em!

These are probably one of the best socks that I have had and use. I got them as a gift in October and I have yet to wear them out. They are soft and do not move around in my shoes. They only seem to get stronger and softer with every wash. Top Notch!
