POC is all about simplicity and functionality, and these traits define the Men's Trail Shorts. The flexible material wicks moisture, breathes well, and resists abrasions from grasping bushes and the occasional run-in with the trail. The shorts are made of just enough panels for POC to ensure unrestricted movement in the saddle, and the finishing features include two front pockets, a secure zippered pocket, hook-and-loop waistband adjusters, and reflective details to keep the shorts functional without excess.

Great Big Shorts
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Like these shorts and the POC brand. Like the other reviews these run really big. Had to return 36 for 34s and they are still a bit big... could probably fit into POC 32s.
Mind you I have a pair of 34" Fox shorts that are so tight I'll probably give them to a smaller riding buddy.
No adjustment in the waist has me looking around for a simple webbing belt.
Runs (really) large
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 30
The Swedes must not know how inches work... I wear 32" everything (from jeans, boxers, shorts, whatever). Initially I ordered a 32" directly from POC (Backcountry was out of stock at the time), but returned them because they weren't even close to fitting. Decided to place the order through here for a 30. The waist is still a touch too big, and if 29" were available I would have returned this pair for a 29. I think 28 would be too small. I wanted a fixed waist (like these) short because the elastic on others always gets stretched out too quickly. I wore these with a web type belt, and didn't have any issues.
Shorts are super comfortable on the bike though. They don't include a chamois. Seems like they'll be pretty durable, and should hold up to branches or other things on the trail. I got the Berkelium green and it looks good in person as well.
Size is not right!
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 32
I have to live with this pair of shorts being 1 size bigger. I'm a size 33 usually so after reading some how reviews here saying it runs sizes big, decided on a size 32.
It's still too big and there's no adjustments. Other than that it looks and feels great as a pair of shorts.
Waist isn't adjustable without a belt.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
Seems like a great short, but the description is wrong. Other than wearing a belt, there is no way to adjust the waist of these shorts. As for the size, they seem to fit larger than I imagined: between the 32 and the 34, I would want to size down and I'm not sure an adjustable waist would have been that helpful anyway.
Does this product come with a chamois?
Does BC plan to re-stock this item in size 30 for the Berkelium Green? If so, when?
Unfortunately we only have the Boron Blue in size 34 on order at the moment.

What is the inseam of the POC Trail Shorts?
The inseam on these is 12 inches
This says venting = zipped, but just...
This says venting = zipped, but just received and no venting. Is there another POC short that has the venting?
POC's site also says there is zippered venting on the rear of the short but none of the photos show it. Your review seems to prove that there aren't any, as well. The left leg zipper is for sure a pocket. POC seems to have had a slip up as well on their site, We just got off the phone with them.
The rep we talked to has the Trail and they do not have venting, they are getting their site changed as well. They do make the Trail Vent shorts that do have zipped vents:
We do not have them in stock, unfortunately.
However, A good comparable short with venting:
