Nobody likes to see you lying unconscious in the snow or street, so protect your knuggen with the POC Receptor Crown Helmet. This baby offers adjustable venting, bombproof protection, and a little style while you ski, ride, board or skate your brains out. The multi-impact SEPP liner returns to its initial shape after hits and doesn’t lose its protective properties after head-bangs. When you feel a bit of head funk, easily remove and wash the padded and stretchy headband.

Bottom Line: Because having your brain intact is key.

You are correct; the black helmet is a POC Receptor Flow, not a Receptor+. The Flow does not have the dual shells and does therefore not provide the same level of protection. Better than most but not as good as the Receptor+

The main difference between the two helmets is the lack of earflaps on the crown and a removable sweat band style head wrap inside it. The receptor bug has a removable band that is attached to earflaps that you can remove if you wanna rock out when its warm out

I've tried both the Crown and the Bug and I could not see any differences between them.
