Detail Views
POC developed the Receptor BUG Audio Helmet for aggressive shredders who consistently push the boundaries of riding, be it in the park or AK. This versatile helmet features customizable ventilation, Skullcandy audio, and a “bankers brim” to boost style. An advanced system of double-overlapping shells uses semi-hard plastic to deflect tree branches and surface impacts while helping control your helmet’s interior climate. POC constructed the interior of the Receptor BUG helmet with an in-mold polycarbonate and EPS liner for excellent impact protection and comfort, so you can focus on getting inverted without fussing with the fit of your helmet.
Bottom Line: The POC BUG series delivers advanced gear to top athletes, and donates money to save the Amazonian rainforest.

I have been skiing for 26 years and my mother was a stickler and made me wear a helmet at a young age. Therefor, I have a lot of helmet wearing experience as well as a background in racing. Needless to say I have worn a lot of helmets in my career. However, the POC helmets have integrated all the aspects of safety and comfort into the product and it shows. They are the safest ski rated helmet on the hill (slopes) and after only one day of wearing it you will be comfortable and unbothered. Use your head and protect it with the best. POC is a new company, but founded by a group of spinal doctors from Sweden who set out to make a more protective helmet, and they have succeeded. Look no further, as some of the best skiers in the world are wearing these helmets not only because they are cool, but because they work the best and that is why we are all wearing them to begin with right?

These are removable by "tabs" which slide up into the helmet very securely between the padding and the shell. There are also two Velcro connecting points at the rear of the helmet which keep the earspads in place.

POC Receptor BUG Audio Helmet
Great helmet but the ear pieces take up a lot of space...think head squeeze... and also very hard. Size up when you get the audio version. more...
