These shorts feature cut-resistant Aramid panels in areas where your blood vessels are near the skin’s surface and pads on the hips and rear. Stretchy, breathable mesh gives you a body-hugging fit that lets you move freely.

Anyway to get view of the back of these badboys?I'd specifically like to know how much padding is right below the tailbone (when sitting/glissading etc)

I was skeptical at first, but after one incident I was thankful that I had these on. Furthermore, aside from the additional protection of your hips and tail-bone, these are really comfortable as well as an additional layer between your butt and the snow or chair on those cold days. I got used to wearing them after one or two days and I make sure they are apart of my dressing for skiing every day now. They protect your body and they keep you worm. "If there is an additional chance to get up and walk away, why not?"
