Description

Keep a spare around or swap your lenses for changing conditions.

With huge lens coverage and a spherical shape that eliminates nasty distortion, the Lobes Goggle Replacement lenses give you more bang for your buck than an M80 packed with C4. Designed to fit the POC Lobes goggles, these lenses offer varying tints to amplify low light, cut nasty glare, and give you supremely clear vision in brutally adverse weather. POC finishes off these polycarbonate beauties with anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments.

Bronze/Green

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great for most days, a little too dark for night skiing. Hasn't yet shown any scratching and they have never fogged.I typically wear these every day, and keep the lighter lens in my pocket for when the sun goes down. These things are sick, makes me look like a spaceman!

Superb!

I bought both the black and bronze green. The black out is pretty much only good for full-on sunny days. The bronze/green, on the other hand,is a great all around lens. It drives me crazy when I can't see the texture to the snow and that is not something I have to worry about with the bronze/green lens. They are easy to put in and take out of the frame and I haven't had any fogging to complain about to date.

Got the Blackout and Yellow/Silver lens

Got the Yellow/Silver mirror to wear on low-light days. Have the blackout lens for sunny days. Great goggle quiver. Lobes look so dope. So dope.

I havn't had a huge issue with fogging, but then again I wear a Smith Holt helmet which interfaces beautifully with these and seals out any flakes from flying in the top.

Also, I like wearing the band inside my helmet, I think it fits better that way. YMMV

I have been using these goggles for 4 years. I ski whistler and have not really had a problem with them fogging due to snow coming through the top. A good way to solve the google fogging from bad weather is to have a brim on your helmet. I duct taped a small brim on mine and it solves this problem. Great optics, burly design and fairly scratch resistant lenses. I don't really take care of my gear and have been using them for almost four years now. Highly suggested

I purchased the Gold Mirror and all the mirror started just flaking off. I can not use the lenses any more it got so bad in just 3 days of use. Can I return these to Back Country for a refund or replacement or do I have to go through POC?

you can return them to Backcountry.

Hey there Eric, this is actually a documented issue, covered by POC's warranty, only affecting lenses from the 2011 batch.

See POC's warranty page for more info: http://www.pocsports.com/en/content/view/warranty-help

As always, these are also covered by Backcountry's guarantee as well.

Amazing goggles, If it is sunny out.. In a blizzard, snow and water leaks into the space between the two lenses, making a foggy mess... Really, it was the best powder day in Jackson Hole(Jan 18th) and I could not see 2 feet in front of me. I guess you can understand my frustration, especially in a year where powder days are rare!

Which lens is that?

Same thing happened to me at Vail.

Hey, what color is best for really flat light. I have the pink mirror, and they are terrible in flat light, but great the rest of the time.

Hi! I agree, I like the pink mirror most of the time but they're not so great in flat light. Of the lenses listed here on BC, I like using the gold mirror when that happens. It's pretty good at increasing contrast and depth perception in flat light.

Try the Yellow/Green mirror too. I used em most of the season last year, and they were especially good at picking up details in the snow on flat light days.

hey there! Are you guys going to carry a full line of lenses for the lobes this year? They were pretty hard to get last season.

We just sent over a huge order of goggles and lenses from the POC USA warehouse, so you should be able to stock up on extra lenses. Happy shopping!
