Description

The ultimate balance of supreme protection, lightweight construction, and adjustable ventilation.

After the wild success of aramid bridge technology in its mountain bike helmets, POC integrated the same technology into the winter Fornix Helmet. Aramid bridge construction offers massive energy dispersion during impact while keeping the helmet shell lightweight and comfortable on your head. As a crowning touch, the Fornix helmet includes an adjustable venting system that pulls hot air and moisture away from your head with lightning speed and ultimate efficiency.

  • Aramid bridge shell construction combines high-tensile aramid strings molded together with an impact-absorbing foam liner
  • Aramid strings add structural stability and allow for maximum dispersion of impact across the entire bridge structure when this helmet takes a hard hit
  • Size adjustment system operates via a twisting dial that either tightens or loosens the inner liner to create the most comfortable fit
  • Sliding vent plate operates the top vents so you can keep them open or closed to regulate temperature
  • Front vents aid the movement of fresh air in and through the helmet in order to keep your goggles fog-free and your head nice and cool
  • Quick-clip buckle and strap are easy to adjust and secure this helmet around your chin

I needed a XXL helmet and took a chance with the POC fornix. I maxed it out on the size charts and it fit fine! You can even take out the ear warmer things (whatever they are called) and you can take out the adjustable size thing if you have a SUPER sized head. I did this to test it and then wore my beanie under it. I love the fit!! It is also a very light helmet and the specs rate it as one of the safest so your brain won't end up as scrambled eggs...

Love this helmet

She has a 58.20 cm head with a very slightly loose tape measurement. The M/L fit her round head and flat forehead very well. Reduced only 3 clicks from max adjustment. Strong Blue color is one of the best looking helmets too! I am oval headed and look like a dork with any POC. I am a Giro head.

Just got the white version, great fit,...

Just got the white version, great fit, don't like the gloss finish, it looks like a matte finish in photo. Does anyone know if the black is matte or gloss?

It is gloss. I thought the same thing, but check out my profile pic. It seems to scratch just a little but easier (for fine scratches, but who really cares in the long run). I have stickers on my helmet so it doesn't matter. This is the best helmet I have ever owned.
