Style and safety.
We're having a hard time believing that it's already been a full decade since POC released its first DO Half Blade sunnies and Octal helmets. Over the last ten years, the brand with a crystalline focus on safety has shown that it's capable of protecting cyclists in gear they'll actually want to wear, with enviably clean, minimal style. For POC, safety and style can coexist, and the DO Blade Limited Edition Sunglasses join in on the Half Blade and Octal's anniversary fun to exemplify this philosophy.
The DO Blade has protected its fair share of pro-level eyes over the years, as the team sunglasses for the likes of Cannondale-Garmin and others, and the Limited Edition version differs only in color from the rest of the line. Setting itself apart from other models on the market with an unapologetically large frame shape, the DO Blade shields your eyes expertly from road grit and harsh sunlight, while remaining aerodynamically-minded and integrating seamlessly with the Octal Helmet.
Although this version comes with a black lens optimized for sunny rides, POC dialed in a simple lens swapping system for the DO Blade, so you can switch between tints depending on the conditions. With a Ripel treatment on all POC lenses, each one will repel dirt, water, and grime, as well as fog while you ride, saving you from infuriating smudges and smeary lenses. When you sprint to finish a climb or chase the lead pack in your next race, the DO Blade's soft rubber inserts at the nose and temples gently hold the glasses in place so you're free to focus on what's ahead.

- Q & A
they grew on me
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I will admit when I first put these on, minus a helmet, I thought no way, they just didn't look good on my head. I put them on with a helmet to go for a ride and voila they looked great, and I wasn't even wearing a poc helmet. The shape in use with gear just seemed to take on a whole new look. ok so they look good, that really not the most important part. I wear contacts and want to keep anything out of my eyes, my eyes get dry so I want to protect them that way, oh and I don't wan't to sweat to much. I want a lot. Happy to say they are keepers and have been riding them for the last month very happily. I would say they are a med/larger size glass, which although I have a smaller head (I wear a size S helmet) is what I prefer for protection both sun and debris. Sometimes larger glasses can look goofy but these are size really well.
