For a goggle that stands out in appearance and performance, get the POC Cornea Goggle. The patent-pending design attaches the lens to the outside of the frame so the wearer can see more and easily exchange lenses (sold separately) as the light changes throughout the day. The dual cylindrical lenses include a tough outer polycarbonate lens and an anti-fog cellulose propionate inner lens. The cylindrical lens design gives an undistorted view of the mountain to skiers and riders who need to see every lip and bump on their way down the steeps.

Bottom Line: See it and shred it.

Yah. Swedish Goodness

Just picked up a pair of the Cornea this season. Functionality is an A plus. Even on a high humidity early season day on Mount Hood, i experienced very little fogging while stationary and zero as soon as I got some airflow going. Styling is great too. Not too big, so you don't look like a Swedish bug. Uniqueness is also pretty cool. Set yourself apart from the hordes Smith, Anon, and Spy wearers.

VLT is a measurement that specifies the percentage of light coming through the lens and reaching your eyes. A totally clear lens for dark conditions typically have around 90% VLT and a very dark colored lens with mirror for sunny conditions may have down to 10% VLT. Most allround lenses will be found between 30 to 60 %. In our range you will find alternatives for all kinds of conditions,

Cornea Black/Black - 10% light transmission
Cornea Grey/Clear Silver - 45% light transmission
Cornea Brown/Persimmon Gold - 36% light transmission
Cornea Red/Persimmon Red - 44% light transmission
Cornea Green/Pink Silver - 18% light transmission

Legend

Legendary. I got the orange goggles with the orange mirror lenses last year. They look phenom. Fit is uber comfortable. The orange lense is very versatile...need something darker for the brightest days and something lighter for the flattest light, but good for most conditions. Due to no external frame, the visibility rules. No craning your neck to see you front pocket zips or boot buckles. No fogging. Best all around, most comfortable goggles i've ever owned.

Fantastic Goggle

I bought the Green Cornea google which comes with the grey lens. This lens work well on overcast and partly cloudy days but I suspect that i may purchase a spare lens (which are sadly NOT available at backcountry) for brighter days. If I had to do it over I'd get a pair with the persimmon mirror lens which is on the orange and red frame versions. Comfort wise this goggle is a 10/10 and fits perfectly with my smith helmet. I will only be buying POC from now on... that's how comfortable this particular model is!!

to be honest i bought them for the look. in terms of functionality blacks are definitely for the brightest days so you will need additional pair of more versatile goggles.

You don't need another pair of goggles, you just need the correct lens for your needs. No goggles/lens works in all conditions and the good thing about the POC Cornea is that you are able to change the lens. So keep the blacks for bright days and add one of the following for less bright days. This way you will ride in style AND see where you are going.

Cornea Grey/Clear Silver - 45% light transmission
Cornea Brown/Persimmon Gold - 36% light transmission
Cornea Red/Persimmon Red - 44% light transmission

Not Lobes

These are not as cool as the POC Lobes. They have a cylindrical lens instead of spherical lens and they don't fit with a helmet as well (even with more...
