Petzl integrated an Ultra Vario Headlamp on the Trios Helmet for cavers. With a focused beam to 210 meters, the Ultra Vario shines your way through the abyss. Four lighting modes help you conserve the ACCU 2 Ultra rechargeable battery's life, which is indicated on the energy gauge. The Vario's LED lighting switches to reserve lighting once the battery is near its end.
Petzl made the Trios helmet's shell and the Vario's casing out of impact-resistant ABS that's waterproof to one meter for thirty minutes, and the polystyrene liner offers some cushion without adding much weight. Sliding ventilation slots ensure proper airflow, and the adjustable headband ensures a secure fit.
