The compact Petzl Tikka XP provides a multiple lighting modes for today's versatile explorers. Its LED lighting source features four separate modes from a wide close-up to a narrow distant mode, and some of the modes have different levels of brightness to bring the ideal amount of light whether the sun is setting or has gone. Even the red light has two different modes (strobe and proximity) for your convenience. Petzl included three AAA batteries, and you can replace those batteries with rechargeable lithium or Ni-Mh batteries. A low-battery signal will let you know when it's time to replace them. The elasticized headband is washable for your comfort, and the housing is water-resistant in case you're adventuring in rainy weather.
