A go-to light for any adventure.

The Petzl Tikka + Headlamp is a workhorse of a headlamp for outdoor enthusiasts of every kind. This sharp little light provides constant lighting all day long, with three different beams, five modes, and even two modes for its red light, so you can use in for nighttime hikes, runs, reading, and discrete missions when you don't want to wake up your tentmate. Petzl also designed the Tikka with Constant Lighting, so it won't dim as the batteries lose juice. The water-resistant housing makes sure the light stays strong in rainy weather, and the Tikka's multiple-battery compatibility lets you use your favorite power source without worry.

Does what it's supposed to

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This headlamp is a great deal - 3 regular light settings plus red beam settings in a super-light form factor. I prefer this to a Black Diamond one I had prior which broke due to a cheap plastic clasp. This Petzl feels much sturdier and the strap feels nicer as well.

Bright lights!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The band fits comfortably over my head. I like the different lite settings. When I go camping I have a lot of late nights and I like having a super bright lite to be able to see what I'm doing as well as a low lite to eead books at night. This headlamp does both of those for me :). The redligjt is also super nice!

Sweet Headlamp

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For the price this is probably the best headlamp out there. It's lightweight and small while also being super bright. It's great for hiking and camping. I even throw it in the bottom of my bike pack just in case the ride lasts longer than expected.

Love it

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

From camping and night hikes to bike commuting or even wrenching on a car in the dark, this is great headlamp to have on hand. I typically only use the lowest beam and just that casts plenty of light. Nice to have the brighter settings and the two red beam settings. Fits comfortably, too.

Petzl Tikka Plus Headlamp

Great headlamp ! I wear this for running and ski touring primarily and it is very comfortable bright enough for night runs and battery life is Great. I would suggest this to anyone for the price and features.

Awesome Headlamp

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is one of the best headlamps out there for the price. The light is super bright and has a good field of vision with different settings. It is a little different settings wise compared to other lights i have used and took some getting used to.

Trail running companion

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

A friend recommended I buy this headlamp when I was lost trying to choose between pages of headlamps, and I'm so glad I took her advice. The Tikka + is lightweight, the straps are easy to adjust and fit over hats, and the different modes are useful without being overkill. I've used it a bunch of times for winter trail and road runs, some at dusk and some when it's been completely dark, and it's made navigating icy, snowy trails in the mountains much safer. I have yet to run the batteries down after a couple of months of use, and even though a battery gauge would be nice, for this price I don't mind leaving things up to chance.
