Upgrade your Petzl Quark, Nomic, or Ergo ice tool with the Petzl Dry Pick and take your mixed climbing to the next level. Specifically designed for steep dry tooling, the Dry Pick provides plenty of stiffness but tapers to 3mm at the tip so you can still get one-swing sticks in the ice without shattering torso-sized dinner plates in cold temps. The hooked tip holds on the smallest edges, and serrated top teeth allow for increasingly complex tool placements on really steep routes.

Bottom Line: Ice pick for mixed climbing and dry tooling.

Burly Pick

I only got a chance to use this on ice last year, I'll update for dry tooling in the Fall. I worried that this would be too thick for ice since it's beefed up for dry tooling. It sticks like a dream. No problem getting good sticks without busting up the ice onto my belayer's head.
