The Petzl Dart Sidelock climbing crampons are superlight high-performance single point crampons bred to destroy icefalls and mixed climbs. Dry tooling is not a problem for these competition descendants. The single front point is offset for precision and notched with a hooking point. Inclined points allow pulling, and are incredibly stable. Due to the Dart's horizontal structure, feet sit closer to the ice, give you maximum precision and maneuverability. Adding to this precision is the tight fit of the Dart. Set up with the Sidelock binding, the Dart is prepared for boots with front and rear sole overlaps. The front wire has two adjustment positions to fit boot soles of any thickness, even those that are asymmetric. You can also screw the Dart directly to your boot for increased performance and decreased weight.

Every spare scrap of steel has been stripped from these crampons, and you can definitely feel the difference when they're on your feet. The attachment system took a few tries to get used to, but I'm all about this thing now that I have it figured out. For both steep ice and mixed routes, these things are the ticket.
