Calidris Harness

As the most-padded and comfortable harness in Petzl's line, the Calidris works well for long multi-pitch trad and aid lines. Sliding DoubleBack buckles on the waist and legs can be adjusted easily to accommodate layers for cold days or keep you from going numb at a hanging belay. The Calidris' four gear loops hold a large rack of cams, stoppers, and hooks.

Although I am not an especially experienced or talented climber - actually very much a newby - I was forced to consider a new harness when the first one I got turned out to be too small for my chunky frame. I heard the Calidris was for big guys and super comfortable, so I took the leap. Well it's true, I forget it's even on; and it certainly does the job for me. Well ventilated for gym climbing and outdoors on hot days. Used it in Moab and loved it. If you're a little larger than a normal climber, I would definitely try this harness out before you make a final decision.
