The Perception Eclipse Series Kayak with Rudder efficiently covers long distances over water with all the gear you need for a few days of camping along the way. This upgraded version of Perception's most popular touring boat paddles effortlessly, thanks to its slim, yet stable profile. A foot-controlled expedition touring rudder helps it track straight and turn with ease. Liquicell seating provides excellent comfort for long days on the water. When it's time to load up, there's plenty of room with 8850cu inches of space (17ft size) in two water-tight compartments and lots of deck lashing for overflow. If you're a small kayaker and big boats seem like too much, check out the 16ft model. If you're looking for more space, go with the 17ft.

So this boat rocks pretty much. It's the CADILLAC of kayaks. I found it to really track well in the water, but it does feel a little squirrelly when there's an undercurrent. It was almost hard to keep it going in a straight line at times. Stronger paddlers definitely. I like the rudder but it doesn't help noticeably unless you're in a really rough situation. The material that it's made out of is nice and shiny but seems like it could break easily.
