A half-zip wonder of technology crafted for dirt.
When we head out for a ride, we do all we can to be dressed appropriately, which means selecting clothing not just for the weather conditions, but also the activity. The Pearl Izumi Veer Jersey is one of those rare mountain bike-specific jerseys that gets the look right without sacrificing the functionality of a road jersey. The problem with so many mountain bike jerseys is that in their quest to look less cycling-geeky, they give up the technical materials that can make all the difference in staying comfortable on a long ride. Cotton and cotton blends don’t wick moisture away, keeping you wet and increasing the likelihood that the wet fabric will chafe your skin.
Pearl Izumi’s P.R.O. Transfer fabric with In-R-Cool forms the basis for the jersey. This high-wicking fabric transports perspiration away from your skin to cool you and keep your skin chafe-free. Direct-Vent panels under the arms add extra ventilation to make sure you stay dry even on humid days.
The cut of this jersey semi-form fitting, Pearl Izumi’s designation for the fit of a traditional cycling jersey. Technical features include an 11-1/2-inch zipper to give you control over venting. An elasticized gripper in the back will keep the hem in place and two pockets give you some carrying capacity without turning your back into a camel’s hump. Reflective elements on the back will help you remain visible even in low-light conditions.
The Pearl Izumi Veer Jersey comes in two colors, Lime/black or Black/shadow grey and five sizes, Small through XX-Large.
