Regardless of the weather, moisture is your enemy on a bike ride. It saps your strength in the hot and the cold. That’s what makes the Pearl Izumi Transfer Base Layer in any weather—it’s a moisture management specialist.
The Transfer base layer is made with P.R.O. Transfer fabric. The fabric’s porous yarn structure gives it eight times the surface area of typical polyester weaves to facilitate the wicking and evaporation of moisture. The Transfer base layer also features a Minerale treatment to further enhance moister-wicking capabilities and provide UPF 30+ UV protection.
The Transfer’s fit is also important. Because it’s design to be worn under another layer, the base layer has a snug, but not tight, fit. The tail is also dropped to cover you in the pedal position.
