Description

Make chilly rides not-so-chilly.

We know it is really summertime when we switch to our sleeveless base layers. Whether we want to pull out our sleeveless jerseys too, or just want to have a little less fabric around our arms and shoulders, the Pearl Izumi Transfer Sleeveless Base Layer will give us moisture wicking performance three seasons out of the year.

Making use of the P.R.O. Transfer fabric with Minerale, the Transfer Sleeveless Base Layer boasts the most advanced materials that meet the requirements of a warmer-weather baselayer. The Transfer fabric features a porous yarn structure that gives it eight times the surface area of typical poly weaves to facilitate the wicking and evaporation of moisture. The Minerale treatment that is permanently added to the Transfer fabric utilizes natural volcanic minerals to boost the evaporative cooling and offer anti-odor capabilities and UPF 30+ UV protection.

Pearl Izumi has paid just as much attention to the fit of the sleeveless base layer since the last thing you want is a floppy, oversized undergarment. The shirt’s close, anatomic fit not only lies nicely under a jersey, but enhances the wicking power through full contact with your skin. The arm holes and neck opening strike a perfect balance between being too roomy and too snug. The tail drops down a touch to facilitate tucking it into bib-less shorts.

The Pearl Izumi Transfer Sleeveless Base Layer comes in White and is available in sizes Small through XX-Large.

Just ran the Marine Corps Marathon with the PI Transfer under a short-sleeved shirt. Kept body temp well-regulated, especially considering Hurricane Sandy was blowing in that day and it got colder as the race wore on. No chafing either. Going to be a staple in my marathon kit from now on.

Every time they unzip up a climb, I've seen that shirt under their jerseys. I knew it must have been important but I didn't know why until a neighbor who races cat 3 suggested a winter kit list. So I tried one. Now the shoulder straps on the bibs don't bother me and I stay warmer and drier.
