Gel inserts on the palms of the Pearl Izumi Slice Bike Gloves help absorb shock, while graphics on the back of these fingerless gloves add sweeping detail to your bike ensemble. Soft, stretchy nylon and spandex fabric on the Slice Bike Gloves feels cool and comfortable on warm rides, and microfleece panels on the thumbs come in handy when you need to wipe sweat off the brow. The Slice Bike Gloves' slip-on cuffs make hand-dressing easy.

Bottom Line: Pearl Izumi's Slice Bike Gloves help absorb vibration without slowing down your rhythm.

Best Gloves Ever

By:

I've had about every brand/type of padding/fabric glove there is over many years of serious riding. These are the first gloves I've ever had that absolutely STOP numbness in my hands over 20+ mile rides. A real plus is that they are vented, and not too bulky. Others thought they needed breaking in but mine were OK immediately.

Basically OK

The glove is very nicely made and quite attractive, but the pads, as other reviewers have said, are slightly too far apart so it's not spectacularly comfortable.

OK Gloves

By:
February 23, 2009

I bought the long fingered version of this glove specifically to help with the numbness in my hands on my mountain bike. They did not change the point in my ride where my hands start going numb. Although the gloves are OK comfort wise and appear to be put together well, they did not help with the tingling feeling. They are actually painful to use on my road bike because of the large pads on the palms. So if you are looking for a large pair, I have one to sell!!

Good gloves.

I'm partial to PI gloves, but these are really comfortable. They have plenty of padding in the right spots for cycling, but not for mountain biking. They're a great bargain if they're on sale.

The pad on these gloves was in a weird placement on my hand seem to hold up well to rides but just weren't that comfy.

Need to be broken in

By:
December 9, 2008

I have been using these gloves for about 1000 miles now and at first the padding was weird. After you sweat in them a lot and break them in they really come alive. I find them very comfy and they really help eat up some of the vibration. Pro: very durable, padding stays squishy for a long time, cool colors are available if you can find them. Cons: can have a weird fit in the beginning.

not good pad placement

By:
July 15, 2008

I bought a similar model (has more venting) but the pads aren't in the optimum place like my 20+ yr old Specialized gloves. I need to position my hands on the bars to accommodate the pad locations.
