The Pearl Izumi Men's Rev Short breathes and wicks moisture to keep you cool while you churn out a sweaty uphill climb, and then stretches comfortably while you stretch your legs on a blistering downhill. Long rides require a little extra padding to keep the family jewels happy, so these shorts rock a breathable 13mm chamois. Paranoid of looking too much like the spandex-and-carbon-fiber crowd? The Rev rocks a longer-cut style that ensures you won't have a Slurpee chucked at you while you ride to the trail on the side of the road.

  • Transfer Stretch Fabric has a flexible construction that moves as you move in the saddle and quickly wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you cool and dry
  • MTB 3D chamois has a breathable, stretchy construction that absorbs impact and helps to reduce pressure from your saddle over long x-country rides
  • Internal liner detaches for cleaning or for altering the short's fit if you'd rather ride with just the shell shorts
  • Front closure uses a combination snap and hook-and-loop so your short stays around your waist instead of hanging around your ankles

Pearl Izumi Rev Shorts are quite nice

These Pearl Izumi Rev Shorts look slick so you can wear them just about anywhere. They are very durable and are true to size. I have already put them through a few beatings and don't even have a loose stitch. The chamois is just right for the kind of mountain biking I love to do.

    Nice Shorts, lacking pockets

I've been using the Pearl Izumi MTB chamois for awhile and decided to try a pair of their shorts as well. They are made of a durable somewhat stretchy fabric that seems like it will last a long time. They're also a good length for me (6'2") in a size large, waist size was also accurate. They hang just below my knees when standing but don't interfere when pedaling. Big plus is the belt loops and they also have some waist adjustment tabs inside. The liner attaches to the inside with a couple loops and allows it to ride almost independently of the short. My only gripe so far is the shortage of pockets. There is two velcro closure pockets on the bottoms and one small zip pocket on the waist line on the left side. No traditional front or rear pockets as the stitching in the pictures may lead you to believe. I'd buy another pair of Pearl Izumi shorts for sure.
