Multi-day races revolve around one thing: the leader's jersey. This makes any article bearing that name a significant piece of cycling kit, so we greeted the release of Pearl Izumi's P.R.O. Leader Jersey with some high expectations.

In order to meet those expectations, Pearl kitted the P.R.O. Leader with two different primary materials. The body is P.R.O. Transfer In-R-Cool, which excels at pulling moisture from your skin and diffusing it across its own surface for quick-drying comfort. The sleeves and shoulders are P.R.O. Transfer fabric, a Coldblack-treated material that reflects the sun's rays in order to keep you cool, inside and out.

The jersey is finished with side panels of Direct-Vent for added cooling and a panel of structural mesh to support the rear pockets, one of which is water-resistant. The panels are laid-out in an anatomic, race-cut pattern, and an elasticized grip on the rear hem keeps that shape in place.

    mens pro leader shirt sizing

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

just fyi for everyone really nice shirt but sizes are real tight i wear XL in Pearl and Sugoi no problems. if your XL and like real tight aero type shirts go for it otherwise go XXL

    love it

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I like my jerseys tight but not constricting. This one fits perfectly. Fabric wicks well and is high quality. Full zipper works well. All three pockets are useful and are easy to get objects in and out. While I have jerseys that cost a lot more than this one, I do not have any that I like better. This jersey is at the top of my jersey rotation. By far the best Pearl Izumi product I have ever purchased. I like it more than my jerseys from ASSOS and Santini. A+

    Well made, looks good.

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

I normally wear a medium jersey, but since I was at the top end of the sizing chart for medium, I went with large. I'm glad I did. The Large is snug on my chest, and just right on my arms, which are big for my size.. The one place the fit isn't so good is in the back. It's both too long and too loose. But I'm glad I didn't go with a smaller size as it would not have fit elsewhere. I did like the P.R.O. enough to buy a second one in a different color.

    Well made, looks good.

my chest size is 92.5 cm and my height is 164 cm (5.5'' ). Am using M size on castelli jersey and fit is good or you can say it is some what a bit loose.
what size I have to get of this jersey, and I am confusing between this and
Pearl Izumi P.R.O. LTD Speed Jersey and
Louis Garneau Mondo Primo Jersey, which better for me for riding and racing.

I myself am 5'7" (170cm) tall with a 36" (92cm) chest. I generally wear a small in Castelli jerseys, which are fairly form-fitting. I do have some medium Castelli jerseys that fit looser (more like a club-fit jersey), so I'd say we're close enough to each other in size. I recently bought this Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Leader Jersey in a small and a medium. The small was indeed too tight. The medium is still very form-fitting, but I didn't have to stretch it much, if at all, to get it on. So if you want slim/race fitment, go with a medium...if you want more of a club fit, go with a large.

As for how this jersey compares to the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. LTD Speed Jersey or the Louis Garneau Mondo Primo Jersey, I have no idea because I've never used those jerseys. In fact, I can't even tell you how this Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Leader Jersey works because I haven't used it yet. I can only tell you how it fits because I've only tried it on so far.

How does the fit compare to Pearl Izumi Elite jersey? I wear a large in Elite
