Keep your cool.

It's hard enough to ride a century, but pedaling for hours under a ripping sun? Torture. Pearl Izumi can't change the weather, but its P.R.O. In-R-Cool Men's Cycling Jersey can help keep you from boiling over, with an innovative fabric and unique temperature-reducing treatments that help keep your heat levels solidly in the "manageable" range. It starts with P.R.O. Transfer fabric, which is engineered to wick moisture like lightning and dry in a snap, so moisture moves quickly away from your skin and takes heat with it. Topping off the fabric are strategic mesh inserts and a pair of special technologies: In-R-Cool and Minerale. Minerale utilizes volcanic fibers to accelerate evaporation, fight odor, and provide UPF 40 sun protection, while In-R-Cool reflects the sun's rays, lowering the temperature of the fabric by up to 35 degrees to help you stay cool and crushing it.

The P.R.O. is no three-trick pony, though. It keeps things moving with flatlock seams, which prevent the irritation and chafing caused by traditional round seams, and has four back pockets (one with a zipper and a sweatproof design) to keep your snacks, bottles, phone, and key tools within easy reach. The full front zipper lets you ventilate to your heart's content, and the elastic hem gripper makes sure your back stays covered and your kit stays aerodynamic.

Race Jersey With Design Flaws

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

The fabric holds onto to the moisture and gets very saggy. The medium is way too long. Put anything in the back pockets and the jersey starts to get caught on your seat. My recommendation is to size down and use this jersey for cool weather.

Race cut jersey but with sacrifice

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

5'11 150 lbs. The medium was too long so returned for the s/m. Fit is good and form fitting. Fabric is very elastic, slightly uncomfortable and clings once a sweat begins -which is immediate because the torso of the jersey is not very breathable. This jersey utilizes advanced technologies that help to evaporate moisture quickly which seems true, thankfully.
Tossing the cell phone, spare road tube and granola bar in the back pockets was enough to sag the overly stretchy torso/pockets off the waist and downward by a distracting measure.
On a positive note, The shoulders and sleeves are quite nice and the white version with green is a good looking piece
