Pearl Izumi made the Men's Infinity Shorts with vented side panels, so hot air can escape and cool air can make its way in. The Direct-Vent side panels are laser-perforated, which means Pearl Izumi picked out a very detail-oriented shark, attached a laser to its head, brought the sides of the Infinity Shorts within range, and voila—vented sides for your cooling pleasure. Or something like that, anyway. A comfortable liner in the Infinity running shorts eliminates unsightly hang-outs.
Bottom Line: Perforated side panels on Pearl Izumi's Infinity Shorts increase cooling on your summer runs.

Soft, dry, supportive, and light. They're the best running shorts I've owned. The small pocket in back is perfect for a cell phone or another small but critical item.

Bought these shorts for my Dad for Father's Day. He swears "they keep the the old man running faster" and that they are the best shorts he has ever had. They are comfortable and cool in the hot humid summers of Washington DC.
